Time to recharge

sparklingsoundwave started following you
«Crowsnake! Who that?» Yep, definitely getting tired of introducing himself over the comm properly. Have a couple of friendly hisses as well.
Soundwave paused in his investigations as a new signal popped up. The sparkling examined it on his HUD, curious. “Designation: Soundwave.” Was the other bot… hissing at him? “…Designation?”
«Designation Crowsnake!» Did he just meet Soundwave twice? Or were there two people named Soundwave? Whichever! «Hello hello.»
Oooooh… Crowsnake was his designation. He didn’t seem to mind repeating himself, though. Soundwave giggled lightly at the other. Something about the way he talked seemed amusing. “Greetings Crowsnake. Statement: It is nice to speak to you.”
«Greetings! Statement: It nice speak to Soundwave, too.» He chirped over the comm. He liked Soundwave’s voice.
Did Crowsnake just copy him? It didn't match the other speech pattern he had been using. Soundwave was become more and more curious about this other bot. "Query: Crowsnake's location?"

Return
Soundwave nodded his helm, even though the human couldn’t see him. “Agreement: Soundwave will continue searching. Statement: Soundwave hopes he has returned home. Statement two: Soundwave will keep active contact with Sunny; will not disappear again.” If he could help it…
*I nod in agreement, even though Sparkwave can’t see me do it.* Please do. Contact me whenever you get back on Earth, okay?
"Acknowledged-confirmed. Soundwave will make Sunny aware of our presence." He was still happy that he had been able to talk to the human. Maybe he was indeed in his home universe if he could contact his friends. He paused again. This was the end to the conversation, wasn't it? ...Yes, yes, he had to keep looking. He just... had never really finished many conversations himself, really. Usually other people ended them. But it couldn't be that hard...
"...Farewell, Sunny. Statement: Soundwave will continue searching."

"Designation: Soundwave." The other bot didn’t seem upset that a stranger had contacted him. With his high success rate in talking to strangers and the statistics (though limited) that he had built up, he was sure this conversation would go just fine. And even if not, it wasn’t as if the other bot were near enough to harm him or anything. "Statement: It is nice to meet you." He paused for a moment. "…Correction: It is nice to speak with you."
Blaster laughed at the comment, grinning even though he could not be seen.
//And it is nice to speak to you too, Soundwave. Are you well?//
Because while he didn’t mind talking to new people, there had to be a reason for the other to contact him. And, he was quite sure that the ones he knew would only contact him out of an emergency, or because he felt like it. And the latter one was busy trying to fix things in his own home timeline.
The other bot laughed. That was usually a good sign. Soundwave was quiet for a moment before answering. "...Functioning optimally." While he was still scratched and dented up, he was indeed functioning just fine. If one didn't count his constantly interrupted recharge cycles.
"...Query: Blaster is well?" That's what people did, wasn't it? Return the question? He was quickly learning the common patterns of communication, and a bit more slowly applying them.

The sparkling sat in silence for a moment, optics widening. He had met some of his alternates, yes, but he always felt excitement when he found a new one. He also had to remember to be cautious, though, because Sunny had said that most of his alternates were Decepticons. And Ratchet had said that Decepticons were bad. But of course his question then was that surely an alternate wouldn’t harm themself, would they?
"…Designation: Soundwave. Greetings alternate! Query: Alternate Soundwave is adult mech?" He was always a little awkward in figuring out how exactly to address his alternates…
Ah. He had been right. Another alternate. That made two. Hmn…
"Greetings. I am of age, yes. Are you not?"
Curious. Was his alternate younger than him? The other one he met acted as if he were older than himself. But this one sounded…excited. A soft snort from around his peds caused him to look down to his brother, who simply jumped up onto the console.
=He also has no tact. I am Ravage, bitlet=
It was a less of a wild guess on the feline’s part, as he caught the sounds of an sparkling-type vocalizer, and the excited speech pattern. He was better at listening and smelling than his brother.
He remembered how he had talked to that one alternate that offered to help him with his flight. Hopefully it would be less awkward to refer to himself that way. "Answer: We are sparkling." Another voice chimed in and Soundwave shuttered his optics before they again grew. "Greetings Ravage. Query: Ravage species is cybercat? Statement: We know a Ravage." Of course, his friend Ravage was also a sparkling. Soundwave was excited. If these alternates were friendly, he wondered what he could learn from them. He loved to learn, after all.
Return
"…Affirmative." The parallel world had been very frightening indeed. If he hadn’t found that friend, he might not have made it back at all… let alone in one piece. "…Statement: Parallel universe was dead Cybertron. Full of night monsters. Danger level: Very high."
*…Oh.* …Moving on from that… Maybe you should find someone on the Cybertron you’re on to help you.
Soundwave nodded his helm, even though the human couldn't see him. "Agreement: Soundwave will continue searching. Statement: Soundwave hopes he has returned home. Statement two: Soundwave will keep active contact with Sunny; will not disappear again." If he could help it...
Return
Prime? Did he have the Prime’s contact info? Soundwave shuttered his optics, going through his files. He would investigate this either way, of course. “…Statement: Help or not, Soundwave is still pleased to speak with Sunny. Soundwave has been… frightened…”
Frightened? By what, kiddo? *I’m a bit worried now. I don’t like it when my friends are scared…* Was it something in the parallel world?

Soundwave had decided to investigate the area to attempt to determine exactly where he was. He was scanning everything and trying to pick up signals and frequencies floating around as well. He just wanted enough information to confirm that he was where he should be. What he found was an unknown but active signal. For some reason it seemed familiar somehow, but he was sure he didn’t know it. There was also interference… From distance, perhaps? Curiosity getting the better of him, as always, he decided to see if whoever was on the other end would be interesting.
"Greetings. Designation?"
Another frequency that was similar.. to his own again. A bit scrambled, as if it was being transmitted from a distance that was almost too far for the comm. unit to take. Still, he heard the transmission clearly. He was not the communications officer for nothing. He earned that title, thank you very much.
::Soundwave. What is yours?::
Though he already had a faint idea of what the answer would be, but it never hurt to make sure, now did it?

Oh, this was interesting. In Soundwave’s effort to find his friends, he had stumbled upon an active comm. number. This one was unknown to him. The sparkling was hesitant, really wanting to find his friends and finally feel safe, but… the curiosity was overwhelming. He sent a ping the number.
"…Greetings. Designation?"
Blaster had been just about to power down for recharge, before he was pinged by an almost familiar source. Soundwave. But…it wasn’t quite one he could place.
//Hello. I’m Blaster. You are?//
"Designation: Soundwave." The other bot didn't seem upset that a stranger had contacted him. With his high success rate in talking to strangers and the statistics (though limited) that he had built up, he was sure this conversation would go just fine. And even if not, it wasn't as if the other bot were near enough to harm him or anything. "Statement: It is nice to meet you." He paused for a moment. "...Correction: It is nice to speak with you."
The kitten had been chasing after his toy turbomouse, laughing and giggling as he tried to pounce at the whirring, zipping thing. He wasn't exactly paying attention, never saw the other in his path, until he had stumbled into another frame, yelping and going flailing to the ground, disoriented as he staggered to shaky paws, trying to see who he'd run into. "I sawwy!!! No mean to!"
He was wandering, trying to confirm whether or not this was indeed his home universe. His proximity sensors suddenly beeped at him, telling him of the rapidly decreasing distance between him and another bot. Soundwave didn’t have the chance to see where the other was and get out of the way before he had been rammed into. The sparkling clanged to the ground, optics shut tight and arms coming up in front of him defensively.
“I sawwy!!! No mean to!”
"…" Slowly he opened his optics, helm lifting just slightly to peek over his arms at the other bot there. He stared for a moment, assessing the other.
"…Statement: Apology unnecessary."
Ears twitched a bit as the other sparkling moved forward, bio-lights brightening in excitement and greeting. “Hewwo Soun’wawe!! It nice to meet yous too!” he chirped, looking a bit sheepish that his speech was still developing and improving, while the other seemed to have it all down.
Giggling, he stepped forward and leaned slightly up to give Soundwave’s cheek a large lick, purring and snuggling up to his warmth in the best greeting he knew. “Wanna be fwiends?? I like yous!” he beamed, licking him again and wagging his tail, hoping that they could cuddle together, maybe even play! “Yous little, like me!! We gots to be fwiends, silly!”
<<Threat Level: Minimum>> The sparkling was quickly relaxing. The other small mech was friendly and... rather excitable. He appeared to be a sparkling as well, which of course caused Soundwave's curiosity to grow. He froze, though, at the lick on the side of his visor, blinking at the other bot. That was different, but then again, he was a cybercat. He relaxed again and reached out to gently touch the feline with his spindly little digits. "...Answer: Friends are beneficial and enjoyed. Offer accepted." He let out a squeaky little giggle as he was licked a second time, watching the cat's behavior. He liked him already.
Return
Again he thought on the questions before answering, quickly going through all of his files on travel. He had many of them, but it took only a second or so to check. “Possibility: Space bridge. Statement: Soundwave does not have access to space bridge… currently. Answer: Soundwave… would prefer any safe location…”
As he had told his friend, he didn’t know where on Cybertron he was. He didn’t even know for sure which Cybertron he was on.
*Keyword being ‘currently’.* Hm… Maybe you could contact Prime? That is, if you still have his contact info… As for me, I don’t know how I can help.
Prime? Did he have the Prime's contact info? Soundwave shuttered his optics, going through his files. He would investigate this either way, of course. "...Statement: Help or not, Soundwave is still pleased to speak with Sunny. Soundwave has been... frightened..."

Looking terribly guilty at having run into the other small bot, Ravage blinked, not having expected him to have spoken like a big-bot! “But I no was looking where I was ‘sposed to…” he mumbled, shuffling his paws and hesitating, ears twitching.
"Yous…..you little, like me!! I Ravage, who you??" he asked curiosly, excited to meet another mech that was small like his own self. Granted the other was bigger than Ravage, especially since he stood on two pedes, but he was certainly more approachable than all the big-bots!!
He stared at the other bot for a moment more.
<<Scanning...
Designation: Ravage
Species: Cybercat
Threat Level: Pending...>>
"...Agreement: Ravage should look where going. Statement: Apology still unnecessary." Slowly the sparkling stood, still watching the cybercat. He was a bit cautious after his experience trapped in an alternate universe, but... Well, he really did like cybercats.
The bot moved forward a bit, placing a servo onto his chestplates. "...Designation: Soundwave. Statement: It is nice to meet you." Just because he had been gone for a while didn't mean he had forgotten the manners he had learned when meeting all of his friends.
Return
It would be highly hypocritical of Soundwave to be upset about anyone asking questions. After all, he constantly asked about a million of them. He did again take a moment to answer, however, processor whirring as he thought of the answer to Sunny’s question.
"…Answer: Soundwave possesses long range communication systems." Exactly how long range, he didn’t really know yet. He hadn’t tested it to the fullest.
*I’m quiet for a few moments before I sigh.* Do you know of a way to come to Earth? Or… would you prefer to stay on Cybertron?
Again he thought on the questions before answering, quickly going through all of his files on travel. He had many of them, but it took only a second or so to check. "Possibility: Space bridge.
