Rough sketch I never finished and probably won’t even if I keep coming back to it. I do love this story I’ve written for these characters– I just wish I had the braincells to make it actually come to life.

“Then… I guess… this Lyon person must be a God of Light?” It was the only logical conclusion at this point with what she had just learned. “I’m a Princess of Heart, there are seven more like me who have hearts untouched by darkness.” That couldn’t be touched by it.

Relaxing, hands folded behind her. “I see. Well, different worlds do have different levels of magic, and people have different attachments to that magic.” So it was reasonable that she would have magic that most wouldn’t.

“By connections between the others… you mean the other gods? Or other beings with magic?” She had to admit she felt more than a little curious about the whole situation, and being faced with a god.

“Seven others.. I hope none of them should ever find their way here,” a heavy sigh escaped from him, turning his head away with an irritated grumble to himself, before glancing back at Kairi from the corners of his eyes.

“..I can feel the connections of all of it, all of us who have brought our gifts to our people can feel when one has the ability to wield magic.. I must admit, I’m not the best person to ask for any easier explanations, that would be Kara’s territory. He’s the bringer of wind.. He is far more knowledgeable than I am.” He rolled his shoulders into a dismissive shrug.

“But what matters to me is that Lyon has come nowhere near you.. Believe me when I tell you that although he is the Bringer of ‘Light’.. Lyon of Light is not someone you should trust, nor his twin brother Xera; the Bringer of Darkness. From the sounds of it, your worlds view such powers in a very different manner than we do, so I shall pass that warning onto you now. Should the boy approach you, you better prepare to either run, or fight.”

Her hand shot out to her side, ready to summon her weapon at the idle threat. The very idea of him attempting to take her magic, she was more than willing to give him a good number of whacks in the process. Her stance was ready as he started to make a move, only to be met with a bow.

Kairi straightened herself and lowered her hand to her side. Her hand gripped tight at her pendant. “I don’t have a choice in that matter.” Her heart couldn’t be tainted, she would never understand fully what her friends had to experience because of that.

“A god…?” Well, of course there were gods out there, she hadn’t met any personally though.

“Yes, I can tell.. At first, I thought you might have been a powerful familiar of Lyon’s doing; a being made up entirely of his light’s magic.. but now I see that I was gravely mistaken. For that, you have my apologies.” As he straightened out, his arms were crossed once more, watching her with an amused smile.

“That’s right. Where I’m from all things connected to the element of water were brought by my hand.. I command the seas and tide, and have a deep connection with the aura of those tied to my element.. Although, as I have told you, that magic has been lost upon the Earth-Walkers for quite some time..”

Sota sighed bringing a hand up to brush some of his hair back, attempting to tuck it behind his ear with little success. “I can also sense the connections between the others as well.. That’s how I was able to find you, Kairi.”

Hands were on her hips, and she stood her ground as he drew closer. “I can take care of myself.” At least she was learning to take care of herself. She still might not be the strongest, but she was getting there.

Brows furrowed as she glared up at the man with a defiant gaze. ‘Earth-Walkers’? The child listened, hiding her shock that he knew of other worlds. “Depends, I’m from several different places.” She wasn’t going to draw attention to either of her homeworlds though.

“Quite the defiant one.. You remind me of someone,” Sota mused, his head cocking to one side, blue eyes staring down.

“If you were from my world, you’d not speak with such feisty nature to someone who could bleed you dry of every ounce of magic you possessed.. But I digress, there’s no need for you to put on a strong face, I have no intention of bringing you harm, I was simply drawn by how marvelously bright your heart shines. Magic like yours was lost long ago to those unlike myself..” His hand was swung outward before coming to rest upon his belly, the other tucked behind his back as the man leaned forward.

“My name is Sota, and I am the Bringer of Water.. One outside of our world might go as far as to call me a God, of sorts.”

Brows raised at the stranger. The girl tilted her head, offering a faint smile. Something about his expression was unsettling. A hand pressed to her pendant, and her head tilted at the questions.

“I don’t believe I’m anyone’s ‘plaything’. My name is Kairi. And you are?” The girl answered quickly. A slight bite in her voice at the idea of being someone’s toy of some sort.

“No, of course not.. Lyon hasn’t seen you. Perhaps for the best.. If the brat tried, I’d rip him in two,” as he spoke his voice rumbled with irritation, turning his eyes away from the girl with a thoughtful hum.

“Kairi.. You’re not like any of the Earth-Walkers I’ve seen in a long, long while..” Without hesitation the God stepped forward, drawing as close as she would allow him, although what she deemed as a ‘safe distance’ meant little to him, so if she backed away he’d only follow.

“That can only mean you must not be from our world. Where are you from?”

“Well now.. what do we have here?” A hand was brought to his chin as the God studied the girl’s essence with a harsh stare, unable to hide the crooked smile on his face. He’d be far more amused, if this little dove didn’t reek of light magic.. and yet her essence was somehow different. This one hadn’t been touched.

“..One of Lyon’s playthings? No.. You’re vibrant, but too much so to be of relation.. What’s your name, girl?”

There was a pause as the God stared down the strange man for a moment, lifting a finger to his lips with an audible hum, before smiling.

“Well.. What do we have here? Such a sweet kitty cat. Would you be so kind as to tell me where I am? This place doesn’t feel right.”

[OOC] - I keep thinking about how other characters could interact with the other ‘godlings’ in my story, but this blog was meant to only be played by Agni.. So I’m tempted to just say ‘fuck it’, and put all the others on here as well. Kinda like a multi-muse sorta.. but all from my story.

..Would anyone be interested in that?

Not that I have a lot of followers on here anyway because I’m a coward, but you know.

It was within mere moments this stranger had arrived on his world, that Agni was able to follow the powerful traces of her magic straight to her. Like the other he’d met before, her magic was unlike the ones that balanced his world, but he was still curious, knowing the others would likely end up drawn to her as well.

Golden hues watched her carefully, before finally the God made himself known; zipping in front of her with a sudden flash, brows furrowed but lips pulled into a playful sort of grin.

“Familiar.. Your magic feels almost fluid and well-balanced. Do you hold with water, or are you also one who has been practiced with multiple affinities?”
