Here’s a badly animated run cycle I made today!
I did this today
Oh boy
I’ve added shading to the background.
I’m almost done now, just gonna try to add a few extra seconds of movement to the animation.
Fully coloured lad!
Just gotta do something with the background and maybe shading now.
Here’s the extended version of the serpent illustration.
I’ve also added the first layer of colour, which is red to the animation.
Animation update:
I’ve ended up realising that I’m not going to have enough time to animate the entirety of the sequences I had planned for, so instead I’m going to extend the first part with small portions of the bits I had planed for later ones.
Gonna try to push the serpent’s playfulness, as well as try to add minimal colours, just to have some sort of differentiation from the background.
May or may not add sound later?
Don’t really think it’s necessary but I’ll see.
Finished the line art for the first act of my animation for class.
Not sure if I want to colour it or not...
I finished the line art for my animation’s background!
Yayyyyy
Dragon yawn animation sketch
‘It’s... a work in progress…
I’m getting there anyway.
My storyboards for my animation:
It’s... a start?
It hopefully gets the basic idea of how I want the creature to move across anyway?
This at least means I can start on animation now anyway.
Promare: Palette of colors
A Promare movie review
Hi everyone! I just finished watching Promare since many people been talking about it! I wanted to check it and I went to see if it deserved all the praise that it got for it’s fans!
Frist I will talk about the many aspects of the film and rate them according to that I felt watching it! I hope you like this review and I recommend you to take a look at this movie for sure!
Animation: 9/10
The animation of this movie is at least breathtaking. The colors and the geometric forms, along with the color palette is just so out of everything I’ve ever seen. That I loved the most, more than Lio’s and Galo’s unique designs which are also fabulous it the perspective they put into every frame. I mean…can you do better than that in terms of perspective and 3D animation? I don’t think so. You might ask…if it’s flawless why not give it 10/10? Well…the only thing that I dislike about this animation is how confusing it can be.
The fight scenes are so intense and the animation so detailed that you might get overwhelmed by it and get your vision tiered. The pace of the movie, always building up without resting can indeed leave you tired but the animation beauty will always come on the top
Soundtrack: 10/10
Chould this be better? No way! The soundtrack, a more pop like song list goes well with the intense and epic tone of the show. The music is so beautiful and the singers’ voice is so nice to hear and it bound with the fight scenes in a perfect way. Right after watching it I went looking for the CD to buy it online!
Characters: 8/10
In terms of the cast of characters, I will say that Lio is my fav character: he is a presented as a bad guy just to be understood that he actually was a reason when it comes to his actions. Still, I think I would like to see more emotional development of his character, rather than just him fighting alongside Galo. When it comes to Galo I guess I can’t help but to like him. Still, his character is way more general and already seen: the idiot guy who want to save everyone recklessly. He also shares a lot of traits with Kamina from the anime Gurren Lagann, that I love to dead but it kinda seemed like a copy sorry Galo!
When it comes to the Fire team characters I think they lack time in this movie, and they are difficult to be identified. I really wanted to know more about them and their relation with Galo or even Lio
Plot: 8/10
I really love the concept of the burnish people and how their fire originated from these aligns identities inside earth. It reminds me of Fire Force plot when it comes to people burning alive actually. Even with an original plot that hides many mysteries that make you attached to the screen, it think Promare’s history line lack a bit development with all the fight scenes. I mean, I love the fight scenes but I feel there was a unnecessary time wasted on them when they could have focused on plot building.
Conclusion:
Overall score: 8.4 / 10
Promare is an action and hype mecha anime that uses innovative visuals and concepts. It brings a fresh of air into the world of anime which such different frames and way of presenting the plot. Promare isn’t a deep movie that will make you cry…it’s an extraordinary movie that will make you go on a head sniping journey which passe and animation will leave you speechless

Magical Girl Galo
the movements in this are interesting
references for how to train your dragon.
kinda gave me a better understanding of how to take actions from living creatures to give life to my made up creatures.
Leafy Sea Dragon Phycodurus eques Source: Here
This was a scene from one of my favorite movies, that contained animated dragons. I though it would be a good first glance for animation reference for my water serpent/dragon creature.
I also really like the grungy punk music...
I was practicing animation, specifically how to do a head turn today!
It’s a bit patchy, but I’m getting there!
The character I used was shigeo from mob psycho 100
Interesting reference that also seems to have its key frames noted
