when people say sex scenes are character analysis, they’re talking about this fic (even if they’ve never read it). love that the authors upfront about being in a bit of a softer-than-comics world, and love that there so much showing/suggestion of characters issue’s outside the scenes in the fic. really love the focus on roy and the love between roy and jason. love how slade is a catalyst for roy looking at himself in a way jason would never have gotten him to. also it’s well written and hot!!!

Warnings: Smut. Smut, feels, and Sam Winchester being wonderful. There’s a brief moment of post-traumatic dissociation, but the traumatic event itself isn’t discussed or really even named. Otherwise, it’s about as gooey and sweet as a fuckin marshmallow. This is like… fix-it fic for life-canon.

A/N: Whether it was rape or coercion or just a partner who didn’t care enough to make you feel comfortable, I think almost every woman knows what it’s like to feel powerless or unsafe during sex. This is about agency and trust and hang-ups and recovery, and how partners should handle those things.

This was inspired by a request from @the-departed-patato. Thank you for trusting me with this one. I didn’t realize until I started typing that this was something I really really needed to write.

One thing I love about Jason Todd is that, when he is at his most angry, his reaction ultimately boils down to ‘fuck you, I can and will do your job better.’

Pissed off at Bruce for the first time? Not only is he attempting to show Bruce that killing can be a good thing, he’s also beating half of his rogue gallery at their own game as a means to an end. Black Mask is fuming and Jason is just like ‘shut up this ain’t about you’

Pissed off at Penguin? Lock him inside his own panic room and take over his whole business.

Pissed off at Dick? Murder Nightwing.

Pissed off at Tim? Cosplay him in his own house.

He is a menace, but weirdly predictable in his anger. I can just imagine Bruce getting a call from Oracle to say that Jason is pissed off again.

5 Times Shane and Ilya Matched Each Other's Freak (+1 Time They Kept Things Completely Vanilla)

“It’s fine,” Shane mutters, pulling Ilya out of his thoughts. “Really. It was a long time ago.”

Ilya kisses him again. One rogue tear trickles from the corner of his eye to splash onto Shane’s cheek. He didn’t even notice the tears gathering; his eyes are betraying him. He blinks away the rest. Shane’s mouth goes very pouty as he tries to scowl.

“It was cruel,” Ilya murmurs, brushing the saltwater from Shane’s freckles with a careful thumb. “I was cruel. To both of us. And I’m sorry.”

Shane breathes with him for a moment, both of them trying to pull themselves together, before he grumbles, “I don’t even remember why I brought that up.”

“Because you want to be annoying in bed until I slap you,” Ilya reminds him patiently.

“Oh. Right.” Shane laughs a little and wrinkles his nose, sniffing, trying to compose himself. It’s adorable. “I just meant – yeah, that time in Vegas – it was hot, but –”

“You don’t want it to feel like that,” Ilya fills in.

Shane exhales, eyes fluttering shut for a moment, relieved. “Yeah. Exactly.”

so if we're not allowed to call out ai users due to "false positives"... what the fuck *do* we do about the rampant ai use then? are we supposed to just... accept the fact that people are using ai to write fics now? are we supposed to just be okay with the fact that some authors use ai??? are we supposed to just ignore it and let ai destroy fandom???

if you suspect a work is ai-generated and if that bothers you, quietly click away from the fic and stop reading the person’s works. that’s all you’re supposed to do.

even if someone does say they use ai, my advice would still be to leave them be. you can avoid their works. other people who are not okay with ai can avoid their works. harassment won’t make them stop using ai, it will just make them continue using ai in secret instead of openly. it will also just make them stop tagging their works as ai (so now people who are not okay with ai can neither avoid their works nor know for sure if it’s ai anymore).

harassment will not solve anything. and whether or not you like it, whether or not someone uses ai is not your business. no, I don’t like ai and I don’t agree with people who let ai write for them. but I can understand that people have the rights to do things that I disagree with. even if I think it’s harmful to the environment and community. I can understand that there will be things on the internet that upset me. the “ai-generated” tag on ao3 is there so that people can either seek or avoid ai-generated fics. it’s not there so that people can freely harass ai users. (worth mentioning that harassment is strictly forbidden and against ao3’s terms of service, so you can be reported if you do that. and ao3 will not take your side — because ai-generated works are allowed on ao3, whereas harassment is not. this applies to tumblr and other social media platforms too.)

the truth is that neither I nor you can stop anybody from using ai, at least not via call-out posts or harassment. and I will never condone harassment. what I can do is mind my own business and curate my own internet experience.

and as I’ve said many, many times before, you cannot know for sure if a work is ai or not. you can only guess based on vibes. and ai was trained to mimic human-made works. so every “ai telltale” is something human-writers write before, and ai mimics that.

so no, chances are that you are not actually rightfully calling anyone out and “fighting against ai”, you are just engaging in witch hunt, speculations and accusations in order to feel better, in order to feel like you have “done something”. but in reality, you are not actually “fighting against ai”, you are helping ai harm the writing community by scaring human-writers away. more and more human writers have already stopped sharing their works for fear of getting wrongly accused of using ai.

for the hundredth time, harassment is never the answer. witch-hunt, speculations and wrongful accusations harm the writing community as much as ai does, if not more.
