Ahn Hyo-seop just sees the vision, Free is the best song in this movie, some of you don't get it like Hyo-seop and I do.

Jokes aside, it's interesting that he doesn't say Jinu died, he gave himself up for the sake of others. As in, giving up on his soul and giving it to Rumi to save her. Also he doesn't say "give himself up for the sake of Rumi" he says "give himself up for the sake of others". It means that Jinu by saving Rumi, she would save everyone else with Mira and Zoey and defeat Gwi-ma so the humans would be safe and the demons would be free from Gwi-ma. So he indirectly sacrificed himself for the humans and the other demons and helped saving not just Rumi but humanity and I'm assuming the demon world, but I'm not sure because they don't show it. It's one of the very few problems I have with the movie: It's called Kpop Demon Hunters, but we don't have much demon lore, I really want to see more of the demon realm, for example all the types of demons, their strength and capabilities, if when the hunters kill them they actually die or come back to the demon realm and Gwi-ma either kills them or just doesn't send them to the human world again, etc. These are the creatures the hunters hunt, yet we know so little about them. It would have added a lot to the movie but I get they can't always have the time to show everything and I hope they have the time to show more about the demonic lore on the sequels now it's basically semi-comfirmed we're getting a trilogy. My theory is that maybe the hunters never gave much thought about the species of demons, the best way to kill each type of demon, etc, just killed them all quickly without trying to figure out more about them, as it shows they believe all demons are emotionless but in fact is the exact opposite, they have too many emotions controlled and manipulated by Gwi-ma (when it's the hunters who try to get rid of emotions with "your faults and fears must never be seen" and stuff, things start going wrong after golden, the song that they show a little of vulnerability). They seemingly thought all demons were born demons and helped Gwi-ma willingly because they were all equally evil and didn't have any nuance. Maybe they don't even know souls are Gwi-ma's life source: They just think he doesn't need them but wants it to become stronger and take over the world. Same with the other demons.

Coming back to Jinu, the thing is, I think it's quite clear he didn't sacrifice himself with humanity or the underworld in mind. Or anyone or anything else in his mind. He did it for Rumi and Rumi only. Which is not a bad thing, but I will say it again, true selfless comes by thinking and caring about people in general, not just the ones we are close to. So I just need this man back so he becomes a selfless person and truly accepts himself, like we see Rumi doing, and start genuinely believing that he deserves forgiviness and can leave the past behind (and Rujinu endgame too ofc but y'all already knew that)

Okay, I guess I'll be the one who says it. Bobby not being a joke character is so refreshing and I'm so happy KPDH actually cared about him

I can't be the only one who's noticed the trend of female-led media who give the female leads a male support who is basically just a punching bag or a jerk the girls put up with

Bobby is out of the loop about their demon hunting, but he isn't bumbling or stupid about it. He's just unaware about that side of world. In their civilian and idol lives, he's very conscious about their well-being and makes efforts to make sure they're okay

It's also refreshing that while Bobby isn't traditionally masculine, he isn't emasculated if that makes sense. Like, yeah, he's comfortable with color coordinating with his girls and shamelessly dances along to their dances, but he's not treated like a purse puppy

Maybe it's just me, but it does feel like a lot of feminine guys usually get stuck being paraded as collectibles in groups like this. Like, "look at us. We managed to snag a girly guy." Does this make sense? I don't know if that made sense. It made sense to me so I said it

I just love that Bobby gets to be a supportive older brother character for the girls, gets their support in return, and actually feels like a beloved member of the group
