‘…Rears Its Ugly Green Head,’ by Mike Hinge and Neal Adams. A psychedelic 70s comic from Heavy Metal magazine that’s mostly impressive for the visuals, though the story takes a turn in the final couple pages. It’s worth a read.

Matt Story’s “Breaking the Surface” at Robert Lange Studios.

Opening on February 1st, 2019 at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina is artist Matt Story’s solo exhibition, “Breaking the Surface.”

Story describes “Breaking the Surface” as “a trinity of meaning: firstly, simply piercing the surface of the water and taking a breath when bubbling up from below; but also, breaking the surface of the painting to see through the two dimensions of the work to construct the three dimensional idea in mind; but also, breaking the surface of meaning to reach a deeper more collective experience triggered by viewing a particular depiction.”

The exhibition will be on view until February 22nd, 2019.
