‘Still Standing’ by WAK
“This painting shows the endurance of OUR PEOPLE ,a man rolls up his sleeve to show that he is Living Proof of the strength of OUR PEOPLE, as he exposes the American Flag he exhibits some of the crimes committed against him, to terrorize him or extinguish him all together, as the Slave Ship travels in the night, because we were stolen by thieves in the night, as the sun arises over his shoulder to bring you out of the dark and expose the truth. So when you see a Black Man, judge him not by his current position, but respect his strength, because he is STILL STANDING.” - WAK
‘The Right #2 - Revolution’ by WAK
“In 1966 racial tension was at an all time high and after hundreds of years of terror a group called The Black Panther Party "Drew a line in the sand” the basis was SELF DEFENSE as well as The United States own rules the #2 symbolizes the 2ND AMENDMENT :A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. This paintings shows the cause & effect of this action ,by the reflection in his glasses of two men who have been lynched ,one has to ask was this action extreme?“ - WAK
Food For Thought By Leroy Campbell.
Students pack into 101 State Hall to hear a lecture by Malcolm X. Wayne State. 1963.
The focus of the lecture was on the aims of the Nation of Islam. A warning regarding future race wars was also given: “We are not afraid to go to jail or afraid to take the life of those who take our life. We believe the fair exchange. This is the price of freedom, and we are prepared to pay the price.”
1968. “Muhammad Speaks”.
Learn all you can, accept guidance, and consume the knowledge of the great ones. Let life’s experiences serve as your line of interaction with the Divine, and by using the tools you’ve gained from others author your self-education from there.
Where u at? Please keep blog active it’s refreshing and pure!
Appreciate it. I’m around just don’t post anymore.
“For centuries, nothing has so stirred up American fury like the escape of a slave…” - Mumia Abu-Jamal

“Political satire about an underground militant group that kidnaps African-Americans who have sold out their race. The story follows as the group led Curtis-Hall and Rhames kidnaps an advertising executive (La Salle) who has been providing advertising programs that belittles blacks and women. One advertisement features Spike Lee endorsing Gospelpak Fried Chicken which comes in a bucket with the Confederate flag draped all over it.”
“The Black Woman is the best, she’s the one. She’s the Mother of Civilization & Goddess of the Universe.”
— Dr. Khalid Muhammad (via specialnights)
“If the Black woman is a queen, and I believe that she is, why would I settle for something less than royal?”
