Finally after 18 years, I have made a full illustration of my very first OC ever, Keio Akiyama 💜

I've had her since I was in middle school and she has changed and grown with me the whole way. I used to write stories with my friends using her as my character, and we've made so many memories. Updating her look and her personality and background as I've gone grown up always helped me get introspective and think about who I am and perhaps what I might want to be. Although she isn't really a representation of everything I am, obviously, it gives insight into the types of personalities and traits I look up to in a person, which allows me to get curious about why. I think that's the value of creating characters and writing stories.

As someone with perfectionistic tendencies, I have never actually made a full illustration of her because I was always worried I wouldn't accurately represent her. I had a pretty bad case of same face syndrome (who didn't, right?), and just a general lack of ability to accurately draw someone's likeness. And art is hard! So all that to say: I FINALLY DID IT!! This is the first time I've ever really been able to make her come to life 🥰
