My concepting for some basal desmarian and tetrabrachids! A couple of modern clades/classes of the planet.
More concepting. Once I have actual concept art I'll share what exactly they are! This is mostly just a research phase sketch of how things may look/work.
Since I won't have a ton else to post currently, I thought I'd give y'all a sneak peak the the site
I'm sorry for the lack of updates y'all! I've been short on money for buying a large batch of art like I wanted, but I have been working on this project. And trust me when I say the site is coming along awesomely!

Concept art of a potential sophont gripper. The idea of non-traditional hands/manipulatory appendages has always fascinated me and while this is pretty recognizable as a hand I'm pretty proud of how weird it is.
Lots of progress on the Thrysus Project website! I've got the template done, but I still can't add entries. I'm getting there though. Currently working on making the sight just work, but it's coming along nicely. (:
I always want to give updates because I don't want to leave y'all in the dark as I develop things! I am planning to get some modern plant groups art soonish. This is for environmental purposes and also because, in my opinion alien plants are just as cool as the alien fauna (:
Also out of curiosity, and because I will likely do this anyways: anyone interested in official SOHS Dionysus Pattern space suits, habitats and other such things?

Change! Dionysus now has 2 percent c02. Mainly because I forgot I put 1 percent and I think 2 is more fun.
Once I move everything to the site when it's finished enough things like these updates will be implemented.

Some stuff is likely getting renamed when I put the site up for reasons, but it won't change anything large I think.
I haven't posted in a bit! I've been working on the Thrysus Project site, that and trying to figure out how to do concept art and the such worth posting here for y'all. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon.
I'm not very good at spec evo concept art, but a concept of an extinct animal (I'm still way back in the second paleontological era, but I'm working on it.)
Let me know if y'all would prefer to see me go through the ages first or just wait until I'm on modern day! Either way I will get illustrations going up but if preferred I can absolutely put getting to modern day dionysi animals first.
And finally, the last ancient animals- and image I have for y'all of this batch.
I will be sketching concept art for later creatures as I write them, and will eventually have more finished pieces commed!
But for now...
I bring you the Ossids.
The sister clade to Aeropsids, this clade is took a different approach to the stressors of the planet- instead becoming slower, heavier and armored. Ossids benefit from the bouyancy of the dense atmosphere, but they're less efficient than the Aeropsids, and less suited for an active lifestyle. They also seem to have taken their mouth in a bit of a different direction- gaining a whisker-like adaptation around their mouth, which instead of moving to the front and becoming beak-like, has at least for now simply modified the three plates of its ancestor's mouth, and utilizes a small pair of sensory appendages, as I say again! True jaws never evolved on Dionysus, resulting in a variety of mouth adaptations within this phyla.

While on the topic of Aeropsids I wanted to post this skeleton I drew for them!
Mytids don't have spines. They are endoskeletal invertebrates. The "tube" that runs through their skeleton is a carbon/cartiledge rod originally evolved for shock absorbtion in their old aquatic ramming ancestors from a structure, comprising of. Though it is used a support and is a site of great muscle attachment now, it is not a notochord, and isn't believed to contain nerves.
Mytid skeletons are comprised of an opal composite with traces of magnesium, you can also see the attachment site for the top of the "beak" to the skull, and the two lower mouth parts, which connect to the skull via muscles and are not jaws. (This image kind of makes them look like one piece, but they are two. The "skull" is made of various plates which grow together hence the seams, though unlike a vertebrae skull, it is more akin to a shield in looks than a braincase.
The skeleton as a whole is made to support the body and limbs without a central spinal attachment while working for the environment they evolved in. ( I will likely get art for a more in depth diagram later though!)
From the scleridomorphs- such as sclerotoma, is when the evolution truly diverged again.
Much like the line between synaspida and sauropsoda, the Aeropsids and Ossids would separate based on two different skeletal strategies.
While current xenopaleontologists are unsure of when exactly Aeropsids began, the Sieve Snout is considered one of the earlier members.
Aeropsids evolved pneumatized bones (not unlike birds.)and air sacs, helping them be much lighter, and grow larger while moving quickly, while their three part mouth parts further evolved into a beak-like structure.. Paving the way for the beginning of their high energy lifestyle. It is believed this is around the time mesothermy may have begun to arise in the clade as well.
Their chemoreception appendages also began to develop more- experiencing an atavism, and becoming much like tentacles of old- filled with cartiledge muscle and membranes, these external organs would flick from a groove set in side of the skull to taste or smell the air.
