I stopped by a local park this past weekend that I knew Wood Ducks had always hung out at. It did not disappoint, as I spotted about 20. They have always been a personal favorite for me and I sat for awhile and watched them for a while.

Happy Friday everybody. I hope the weekend has lots of fun adventures for you.
It's my 13 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
Just one of many of the new foals out in the west desert with the Onaqui Herd here in Utah. Keeping the legacy and history of these wild mustangs alive.
This short eared owl was kind enough to sit and pose for a few pics for me at the Bear River Migratory Bired Refuge a few weeks back.
A visit out to Antelope Island would not be complete without checking in on the Great Horned Owls. Only saw one this visit and it was nap time. I had heard from the rangers there that one of the females had passed away. I hope the pair that is still there produce some babies this year.
I played hide and seek with a coyote today on Antelope island. I took about 60 pics and this was the cleanest one I could get. I think it was enjoying our little game.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Being able to get together with my kiddos and grandkids made my heart happy.
I watched as this American Kestrel circle around looking for a meal. Never saw it catch anything. I have no doubt it found a meal as they are great hunters.
This little beauty popped up in my Facebook memories today so I thought I would reshare it. The Belted Kingfisher is a very flighty bird. Always on the go to get its next meal. Having one sit still long enough to get a couple of pictures was amazing.
A little throwback to a visit with the wild mustangs. This was 3 years ago and I really miss seeing them. Life has been a little hectic with my current health issues, so for now I will enjoy looking through my memories of them.
Some cool local art I spotted when I went trunk or treating with the grandkids. The city of Midvale has quite a few buildings with amazing art on them.
We have a little tradition to take a mirror ball selfie when on an adventure. We shot this after our campout along the white rim trail earlier this month.
It’s been an eventful week for sure. I celebrated another trip around the sun on Thursday. Got to celebrate it by having a biopsy on my liver, they had found a lesion and wanted to make sure it wasn’t cancer. I should have the results in the next day or two.
One of my favorite views in Moab. Island in the Sky at Canyonlands National Park. I have seen it more than a dozen times from different angles and times of day. It never ceases to amaze me.
Up way too early on a Saturday and getting ready for work. I hope everyone gets out and enjoys some of the fall weather today.
