Sleeping beside Nuada - Fluffy
Your mind was still foggy with sleep, and your eyes still felt heavy, so you have no idea why you awoke, and yet you were so happy that you did.
The sky was an inky blanket of darkness and the gentle pitter-patter of raindrops against the window comforted you. A loving lullaby that been had prepared just for you.
You felt a small twinge of movement from behind you and when you looked back in curiosity, you were met with the peaceful vision of your husband Nuada, sound asleep, as his arm wrapped protectively around your waist.
Your heart melted at the sight, and you moved closed towards your beloved and laid your head against his chest, nuzzling him as you did so.
Nuada in his still half-asleep state pulled you that tiny bit closer and began to softly rub your arm. There was a comfortable silence between you two for a few moments before Nuada spoke, voice still heavy with sleep âYou alright starlight?â
You smiled up at him, content to just stare into his beautiful eyes before replying, âIâve never been better love.â You couldnât help admiring that he was yours as you pressed a sweet kiss to his cheek, and even though his cloud of exhaustion, he smiles slightly and, in his sleep, filled eyes, you see a glint of genuine adoration that warms your heart.
After that, you drifted back to the land of dreams, feeling safe in his embrace and the sound of his heartbeat grounded you to this world.
You finally fell asleep with the thought that you were truly at peace at this moment.
