Parker chuckles and smiles as he munches on his steak. He thanks him and takes a sip of it before setting it down. “Don’t get too fucked up. I’d like to have a makeout session after I finish my food.” he says as he winks
Skylar blushes, and he tries to pass it off as the alcohol beginning to make him flushed. “Mm.. I’d like that,” he says and smiles, his eyes all squinty and filled with desire for Parker. Not to mistake it with lust--he absolutely loves Parker and always will.
“I’m sorry,” Parker says and notices his marks. He knows they’re probably scary. He sighs and drinks some of the wine. He tries not to make a face, but scrunches his nose and sets his glass down. “I’ve been trying to control it.” he assures Sky, referring to his marks.
“You don’t have to drink that, Park. I’ll take it off your hands,” he says and snickers, taking Parker’s wine from him and providing him with some water. He downs his glass and then half of Parker’s. “Don’t worry.. I know you’re trying. It doesn’t bother me. Honest,” he says and smiles warmly towards him. He’s starting to feel warm and fuzzy from the wine.
“Flat-ass hoe better stay away from you,” he says bitterly and looks almost annoyed. He realizes what he said and chuckles, shrugging his shoulders at Skylar’s surprise. “She can’t get anyone else, but that doesn’t mean she can have mine.” he says, his marks flaring up for only a moment.
Skylar is intimidated and a bit anxious around Spencer, but he would never tell Parker that. He laughs it off. “Don’t worry. I’m yours and yours alone,” he says and smiles, drinking some of his wine. He notices his marks. “Relax, Park.. it’s alright,” he murmurs.
He starts off with his baked potato, humming contently because Skylar remembered his extra sour cream. He looks towards him and sighs quietly, “You’re too nice to me…” he says as he looks over Sky. “How was work today?” he asks and tilts his head curiously. It’s their usual topic of conversation.
“It’s called paying attention, fucker,” he says and laughs fleetingly. He winks at him. “Work sucked ass. I’d much rather have been home cuddling with you..” he mutters and shakes his head. “Spencer came in and harassed me after her shift after Elora,” he says and sighs, shaking his head some more.
Parker blushes even more, looking down at the food. He feels like he’s dreaming, “I love you too.” he says softly as he opens his and grins, “Hell fucking yeah,” he grins happily when he sees the steak. “Steak and wine, I feel like a princess.” he bats his eyelashes playfully.
Skylar snickers. He knows that’s Parker’s favorite, especially with a loaded baked potato, which he got Parker. “I’m glad you like it,” he says and smiles, opening up his meal which is lasagna and garlic bread. “Go on, dig in,” he says and nods his head. He takes a sip of his wine first, nodding and looking at the bottle, seeing that it was Edgar’s special wine. He smiles at the gesture.
“This is so fucking cheesy,” Parker laughs and looks towards the table and the candles. “Is that wine?” he asks as he wiggles his eyebrows and looks over to Sky as he walks around. He still hasn’t stopped blushing since they came up here. “I don’t… I’ve never been on a date, as embarrassing as that is.”
Sky chuckles and shakes his head. “Do you think that matters to me? What matters is that it’s with me,” he says with a cocky grin, chuckling and pulling Parker in his arms after he sets down the food. “I love you,” he murmurs and brushes his lips against his cheek.
“”Because you have a horribly short temper, and I lived with you for ten years,” she says, a deep glare suggesting the rest. “After everything we’ve been through, I know you best,” she says in a sour tone, grabbing her coat.
Gideon grabs a hold of her coat and helps her put it on. He caresses her cheek before having his hand smacked away. “Ouch,” he says sarcastically and chuckles a bit. “He’ll be just fine. Don’t your worry your pretty little head about it,” he says and leans in to kiss her cheek.
Elora sighs as he walks off, trying to show no emotion about it. She’s never been away from one of her kids for more than a day. She looks to Gideon, “You take care of him. Don’t pull any of your bullshit,” she says quietly so he couldn’t hear her. “I will be coming back in two days ot check on him.” she says firmly. while looking up at him.
“Elora, they’ve never come to harm under my hand in their years of visiting me. Why on earth would I bring any harm to Christopher?” he asks, though there’s an air to his tone that gives one slight skepticism.
Elora walks inside, not sparing him a glance as she walks past him. She offers to help him unpack his bags, “It’s the least I can do..” she says softly towards her son with a small smile.
Chris looks at his mother with a nasty glare. It is clear that he has some of his father’s traits, especially the temper. “No thanks. I’m perfectly capable,” he says and takes his bags, going to his room.
Gideon chuckles as Chris walks of and looks down at Elora. “Boys will be boys, I suppose,” he says and shrugs his shoulders as if it’s no big deal to him.
Elora had gotten the regulations changed on their divorce so that Chris could stay with Gideon instead. She walks with him to the house, standing in front of the door and knocking three times before taking a big step back. There was something off about her, but she was just trying to play it off as Chris leaving which was a big part of it. “Are you sure about this, Chris? We could turn around..”
“I’m sure,” Chris grumbles and doesn’t spare her a glance as he holds tightly onto his luggage. He doesn’t need her to try and convince him to come back, because it isn’t going to work. He’s got his mind made up, even though it’s a bad choice.
Gideon answers the door and has a false welcoming expression on his face. “Christopher! Good to see you. Come on in,” he says and pulls him in for a hug. He doesn’t touch Elora, though, that being part of the agreement.

With a long sigh, she moves away and heads to her bedroom. “Deal with it as you please. Just make sure you don’t end up in trouble as well, I can’t deal with another punishment today.” she says as she sits on her bed and takes off her heels.
Hours later, Blair stumbles in Gareth’s room, not thinking straight as he’s clearly far past drunk. He elevates one of the pillows above Gareth’s face and tries to smother him with it, but Gareth wakes before Blair can get the pillow on his face. “Oh, my boy. How did I know you were going to pull a stunt like this,” Gareth says and rises from his bed, chuckling and rolling his shoulders to shake off the sleep. “Now, for attempting assault, I think you might need to be punished, too,” Gareth declares and notices the glint of the dagger in Blair’s hand as well. Gareth snickers and opens his palm, the dagger flying into his grip. He twirls the blade in his hand skillfully and tilts his head at Blair.

“There’s nothing I can do different in this situation,” she says and looks at him as she sets her glass down. “They will be healed shortly, I’m sure. We needed to send a message,” she says as she runs her hand down his arm comfortingly.
Blair, acting differently than his normal self, pours a larger than normal glass of wine and drinks half of it in one go. He nods his head distantly at Valencia, his eyes glossed over slightly with tears that he tries not to shed for the Pierce brothers and Eliza.

“Okay,” he says dismissively and walks into the kitchen to get some wine. He wants to forget. He wants to be numb for a little while after seeing that horrendous display.
Blair, his stomach upset and churning, looks to Valencia with an expression of disbelief. “What’s troubling me?” he asks, his voice small and timid. All he does is shake his head. “I think I may go to bed,” he whispers and stands.
She sighs and leans back against the chair, “I know this is the first time seeing something so brutal, but it is something that will occur more often than not. Especially with my family,” she says with a frown. “It is something that needs to be done, okay? I’m not sure what you want from me.”

Valencia sits down with a glass of red wine in her hand, sighing quietly as she looks toward Blair. Poor thing probably never seen something so brutal, “Speak, darling. What’s troubling you?” she asks as she takes a sip of her drink with a sigh. She’s struggling to relax, especially with everything that happened.
Blair, his stomach upset and churning, looks to Valencia with an expression of disbelief. “What’s troubling me?” he asks, his voice small and timid. All he does is shake his head. “I think I may go to bed,” he whispers and stands.
Blair sits down at the dining room table, exhaling shakily. He never ever wants to relive watching something like that ever again. He cannot believe that Valencia ordered such a thing and to let it be carried out by her psychotic brother. He puts his head in his right hand and stirs his tea with his left, not quite sparing Valencia a glance. He understands this is her job, but poor Atticus lost consciousness because of the beating.
I don’t want it to be. But I’m toxic. So just for your sake, go.
