The discourse on what's considered Indie or not is the most annoying thing every in both animation and videogames because it always disregards the scale of magnitude between AAA studios/Major Publishes and Indies. Like people will say you can't call some game studios indie because they have 100+ devs or they spent a million on game dev, and like yeah that's a large jump from a one person team coding in their free time, but Rockstar has spent more than a billion dollars on GTA 6. Like yeah Glitch has a huge amount of resources and has deals with some of the major streaming services, but they are small fries compared to the big players like Disney and Paramount. Maybe there should be a better term for the more larger scale productions but it's really fucking annoying that people act like these companies are as huge and corporate and as evil as the AAA studios
