Basically, Mr grifter announced that he might be getting into the collecting side of yugioh, which would lead to the scalping hell that now plagues the Pokémon and One Piece TCGs

As a joke, MBTYugioh gave them pointers on what to “invest in”, recommending some of the WORST shit products that this game released in the years

He then followed up with a tongue-in-cheek, clearly trolling video recommending shit like Legendary Duelists sets, Duelist of Deep and Synchro Storm, and the Platinum cards, and exclusive COINS before ending the video with “Don’t invest in yugioh. You will lose money due to this game’s reprint policies”

Like, it was very obvious for anyone with half-a-brain cell and is familiar with Yugioh that the video is a joke

BUT a bunch of scalping bots took the video at face value and bought out these doodoo, worthless products immediately after his fuckass video came out

Now they’re sitting on unsellable trash. 100% deserved, I hope everyone whose trying to grift this game like Pokémon loses their money

Redrawing my cute little jester dolls for Art Fight. These guys are the S.C.R.A.P. dolls; Adelaide, Ripley, Cornelius, and Penelope. They are based off of porcelain faced jester dolls, with porcelain hands and faces and fabric bodies.

The S.C.R.A.P. dolls are meant to be a set of 5 collectible dolls- Sam, Cornelius, Ripley, Adelaide, and Penelope. Penelope and her brother Cornelius are the main faces of the collection, being the first ones manufactured, originally known as the “Nervous Nellies”. Sam was the third doll to join the collection, however they were quickly removed from the shelves. Very few collections have Sam on their shelf. Ridley was eventually added to the collection, though the cheap manufacturing of his doll and the tendency to fray and rip led to some collectors nicknaming the doll Ripley. Adelaide was the last to be added to the collection, a lovely magenta doll. Ripley and Adelaide were designed to be sort of opposites to Penelope and Cornelius, a comedy duo to balance out the tragedy of the Nervous Nellies.

not everything in a story has to or should be "realistic" but in my opinion there's a level of illusion that should be maintained, and I think that's the actual problem that many people try to pinpoint with the "unrealistic" criticism. Dialogue shouldn't be written like an actual transcript of human speech, but should contribute to the illusion of a real person speaking. A character is a tool of the story, not a narrative, but we're trying to maintain the illusion that they are a person. Worldbuilding should exist to serve the story, not to be a perfect simulacrum of how every aspect of nature/society etc. would actually play out for real. But there should be the illusion that it could be real, that organizations and systems would operate in such a way, that people might behave in such a way.

in conclusion: "Is this realistic?" <<wrong question. "Does this serve the illusion or disrupt it?" <<now we're talking

Controversial opinion here but just because YOU don't personally like how a trans character was represented BY a trans person doesn't mean it's inherently bad rep (yes, even if it ends tragically) and even going as far as to say that trans person's artistic expression of THEIR own personal experience being trans through THEIR art is "wrong" just because it wasn't the trans rep YOU wanted tells me you have 0 respect for trans people AND artistic expression
