We made it back!
Sushi in Japan, including eel that the stranger in the background bought for us to try.
The Giant Pagoda in Narita, Japan.
Park in Narita, Japan while cherry blossoms are in bloom.
No Monopoly dogs allowed.
Narita, Japan.
The toilet features in the Japan airport.
Hanoi wins for worst airport setup of out trip. Arriving passengers arrive to Hanoi right in the middle of the check-in desks. Hoards of people wait in front of and even right in the roped off check-in lines. Just getting into line with our luggage was a challenge.
Vietnamese Dong is illegal to take out of the country. 21,000 is roughly equal to $1. That's Ho Chi Minh's face on all the bills.
The Temple of Literature, Hanoi's first University and a Confucius Temple.
Last dinner together in Vietnam
Water puppet show
Hanoi's One Pillar Pagoda
Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, yes we saw his body. It was a similar experience to visiting Mao in Beijing, minus the passport checks and with a much longer and slower line of people.
Megan finds her favorite store in Vietnam.
Hoa Lo Prison, where John Mccain was imprisoned during the Vietnam War. Most of it featured the terrible living conditions of the prisoners when the French used it for Vietnamese prisoners. The exhibit on its use during the Vietnam War for US pilots focused on the fun activities they let the prisoners do such as have a Christmas party and play games.
