abyssalreign:
This place was quiet, not the same quietness that Ain would hope for, but quiet nonetheless. This new setting was something he definitely had to adjust to, such foreign and modern buildings were overwhelming. The apartment complex was something he would have to figure out later, as it just left confused with its difference in structure.Â
His feet had taken him to the Star Gardens of Amaranth, it was a rather tranquil place. Open air, no towering buildings or any other thing that felt wrong. Just himself and nature. Of course, this moment wasnât perfect, it was too blissful for the corruptedâs taste.
If he had his way, he would also reduce this world to nothing, but he wasnât stupid. He knew there was a reason why he was put here, why he âdiedââ and Ain wanted to figure that out.
âUnfortunate.â
The Ruler of the Abyss was going to just remain silent and ignore the child that approached him, as he could easily do so. After all, there was no point in paying attention to the people residing in this world, they didnât matter to him. Nothing did.Â
Yet, he did give her attention. Now turning to face Rachel, he stared down at the child. No other words were spoken after muttering âunfortunateâ, instead, he gave a questioning stare.
Should this girl want something from him, she would say it. Right? After all, with his presence, she should know that he isnât someone to mess around with. Ainchase would give her an A for effort, though. Â Not many dared to approach something like himself.
he didnât ask her what she wanted, but heâd at least decided to give her the attention she desired. she continued to stare up, waiting for him to say something, to initiate the conversation...  but it didnât happen. their staring stretched on and on, for how long exactly she couldnât tell. she blinked.
after a few moments, ray finally gave up, and spoke first. this time, she would simply have to concede, it seems. she went over everything in her head, figuring out if there was any specific best way to ask this question, and settled on what she was going to say.
âtell me everything you know about amaranth.â she paused for a moment. â...please.â while it ended up being phrased more as a command than a question, she had the same intent in the end either way, so did it really matter too much? as long as she got the information she wanted from him, nothing about this made any difference to her; she simply wanted to know about her surroundings. because this wasnât like any afterlife sheâd ever heard of.
