Right, so I'm currently rewatching Merlin, and can someone tell me why the knights in S1E5 are absolutely useless? When Arthur was fighting the Griffin, he was knocked back because his spear broke, and none of the knights even tried to defend him. Like, literally not one of them tried to come to his aide and get between him and the Griffin.
Does anyone know more about the knight code than me that can answer this question?? Because I feel like the prince is a lot more important than a knight, so they should at least try to save him.
You know you're in too deep in the AFTG fandom when you see someone cleaning snow off their car with a lacrosse racket and go "😬 not the Exy racket."
No hate at all, but I think it's so funny when people are like 'I really want to get into x fandom, where do I start?'
Like....oh. Not everyone is unwittingly forced into a fandom by a random whim that turns into a mind-altering, debilitating hyperfixation that takes over every waking moment of your life?
No?
Just me?
I do this too, lol
I'll see something come across my Tumblr so much that I'm eventually just like "alright what is this, time to go watch something new, ig"
This is also incidentally how I found some of my favorite TV shows
Pov: Me when I'm on the last chapter of a slow burn, and they finally kissed
Just finished TSC, and I need to take a break because, genuinely, wtf was that??? I said the same thing after all the AFTG books, though, so we'll see how it goes. Overall, writing and plot were so good. Jean's character was so traumatized that I was very concerned for him the entire book. It's definitely a lot different from Neil's perspective. I have to hand it to Nora, though, she wrote it very beautifully.
Overall, very good. I would definitely read it again just to find other details, lol
…Andrew and Neil moved like they were caught in each other’s gravity, in each other’s space more than they were out of it, cigarette smoke and matching armbands and lingering looks when one fell out of orbit for too long…
They're both so pretty....
After university Simon starts working as an editorial assistant at a publishing house where his job includes evaluating the manuscripts that come in. One day he comes across a story by a first-time author about two boys from different backgrounds falling in love at a boarding school. Simon can tell from the first couple of chapters that it doesn’t fit with what the publisher is looking for but he’s completely swept up in the gentle, intimate storytelling and asks the author to send in the rest of the manuscript anyway. He does end up having to reject the author but he adds a personal message to the rejection letter, telling the author how much the story moved him and what it would have meant for him to be able to read something like that when he was a teenager himself. The author replies, thanking Simon for his kind words, and one thing leads to another and they end up messaging each other in a completely unprofessional manner.
And then it turns out that the person hiding behind the pseudonym is none other than the stuck-up crown prince of the country, who transferred to Simon’s school after the tragic death of his brother and who would always stare at him weirdly but never once spoke to him in the six months or so before Hillerska shut down after an initiation scandal. His novel is the romance he never dared to pursue with the beautiful boy who captured his heart the moment he first heard him sing at his brother’s memorial service.
Wait, is Charles colorblind?
I was rewatching a clip pointing out that Charles grabs a pink book instead of a blue one. I can’t tell if he genuinely couldn’t care less what book he’s grabbing, or if he’s just colorblind.
Wish I could post the clip lol
Wait, this would actually be such a good fic idea. Like, we have the scene where he's trying to grab the book, and Charles just looks back, exasperated, at Edwin, and just goes, "Mate," in a deadpan voice. And then Edwin is like, "Oh, sorry, I forgot."
Ok, hear me out......
Since Simon is slightly shorter, he grabs Wille's tie and pulls him down to kiss.
I want to see this scene :(
I'm still mourning the end of season 3....
take this as my condolences<3
Oh my god, it looks so good! Thank you for indulging in my fantasies, lol

Fic Idea:
Imagine Wille and Simon had met before the first season. Like, they were dating way before all the bad things in season 1 happened, and they have an established connection. Simon has also met Wille's parents already, and they approve of him (because Erik is still alive). So they have this established connection, and they're able to talk through these issues that come up in season 1.
However, no one at Hillerska knows that they're dating, so we get the same level of Simon and Wille staring at each other, and people think they're just crushing on each other.
Also, the same big events happen (i.e. Erik dying, August posting the video), but they're able to talk through it and Simon doesn't feel like he's getting pushed to the side because he's a part of the conversations with the royal family this time.
August: I legitimately feel I might die if you break up with me for real
Sara after kissing him one last time: it'll pass
okay but imagine being Linda in this situation like: you got married a while ago but he turned out to be an alcoholic and just generally a bit of a loser so as soon as you aren't at risk of being homeless anymore you divorce him and it may be tough but at least you got your two wonderful children out of it and you decide you're going to raise them into good, responsible, polite and hard working people. They've always been a bit different, your daughter is neurodivergent and gets along with horses better than with people and your son is a really polictically active gay musician who probably wants to sing at some point in his life. Neither of those things are paying really well but you'll be damned if you don't support their dreams. So you make them work hard at school so you can get them into this really popular and renowned boarding school where they can follow their dreams. All of your good parenting and support pays off and they actually get into said school.
Within a year both of them get involved in a national sex-scandal involving the royal family, your daughter sets a building on fire and now owns a horse and a car apparently, while your son briefly dealt with drugs, fistfought a guy, changed the schools anthem and also made the current crown prince abdicate by being a bit too woke and cute at the same time. Also the school closed down due to all the shit your children were involved in and your son owns a lot of money now.
Like- Linda really just released two well raised children into the upper class and watched the system crumble. Queen behaviour nobody is doing it like her.
Young Royals 03.06
Has anyone seen the new young royals episode???!??! I simply can't function right now!! So much happened, and it ended so sweetly. God, I wish we got so many more seasons, but I think this was an amazing choice on the writers' parts to end it now. I just wish we got more of Wille and Simon :(
That post about death note being "everyone's first anime" (untrue statement) made me curious and now I want to gather data for science
Can you reblog this and tell me where are you from and what was your starter anime?
