hhh i’m not sure i want to draw further attention to the matter. but i will give a brief summary in case anyone sees more hate on their tl today— please do your best to show those creators who are affected your love and support.

an anti-dark content blog posted a ‘block list’ of dc creators. the list was problematic for two reasons:

it was a public list, which drew heinous amounts of anon hate to many of the creators on the list, some of which contained death threats and the like. if OP wanted to share a ‘dark content block list’ privately between friends or moots, that’s one thing— but these kinds of public posts are like big green lights for antis to start mass-bullying creators.

the list included people like myself, who do not write dark content (unless u count one super tame gun play fic ?? lmaoo). at worst, we reblog dark fics now and then— but many of us are just simply friends/moots with dc creators. essentially, we got called out for being ‘guilty by association’. and unfortunately, the non-dc creators were the ones who received the brunt of the hate. (that’s not to say dc creators should have received hate instead, absolutely no one should be getting anon hate!!! it’s just extra heartbreaking that some people who had no business being on the list in the first place were getting bullied).

that’s about it. as a disclaimer, there is nothing wrong with blocking any of us on that list if our blogs or content are triggering to you— in fact, we encourage you to use the block button & tag filtering system liberally in order to protect your health and well-being. but the way OP went about compiling/sharing this list was harmful and inappropriate.
