He did not look happy, making her stand up all the straighter, her tail raising to communicate how nervous she was feeling. Usually he was less responsive to submissiveness, and she would hope that meant he would disregard her as per normal, but it turned out this wasn’t to be the case here.

“Staff Officer Sorbet, of the Third Stellar region, has proven himself worthy and was subsequently tasked with business that the Trade has on the ground.” Glacia quickly explained, making sure to keep still as she watched his face, but didn’t directly meet his crimson eyes.

“As for business affairs concerning the Trade outside of planetary scouting and surveying, I have taken the position of overseeing those and other diplomatic affairs. Kuriza …” She hesitated. “Is … also part of these affairs. He is young, your highness, but he is very quick to learn, and eager to take his place in the Planetary Trade. I’ve been overseeing his work myself, and keeping an eye on him …”

She only hoped that the answer would satisfy him.

King Cold slowly raised his head as she spoke. The giant moved to sit with his back straight and his hands clutching at the arms of the chair in order to heighten his intimidation factor over her. 

“Everything is in order then. I trust Kuriza has a natural talent for the trade. Now that I have returned however, you may rest easy as I take my rightful place back.” A smirk spread across his lips as he watched her and he studied her reaction. He wondered if she would protest and mourn the loss of power.

With a heavy sigh, the giant rubbed his temples. “Now, all I need is a glass of wine.”

Glitz could not deny that he was rather curious. The king had invited him into his bed chambers, which he supposed was probably due to his incessant flirting. He had also made some very curious comments to him, which probably had lead him to this point. He entered with a grin into the room, admiring the lavish bed coverings. “Such taste~” He cooed, beginning to follow suit by removing his own battle armor.

King Cold was amused by how smoothly Glitz had made his entrance. He could only assume that his curiosity had gotten the better of him as the pop star didn’t seem to hesitate in accepting his proposal. “Undress a little slower, if you could.”
