An idea I had the other day. Would you buy an A4 poster of it yes or no

Gwen angst thoughts. But when shit gets rough in her life, Gwen has a bad habit of ghosting the people closest to her.

Part of it is because a lot of her problems are Spider-woman’s problems so she can only talk about them with a small select group of people, but also she hates feeling like a burden. I just see her as a very independent kind of person. Her ability to resolve issues on her own is very important to her. While she doesn’t see asking for help as a weakness when other people do it, if she has to rely on someone else, she sees that as a personal failing.

All these feelings stems from childhood. Gwen mother passes either when she was a baby or when she was really young and her Dad was ill equipped to becoming a single parent. He tried is best, but he wasn’t around enough to give her the emotional and physical support she needed. Gwen and George both tend to throw themselves into their work when they can’t deal with their emotions. After Gwen’s mother passed, George started to subconsciously avoid Gwen with his job. Gwen looks just like her mom. And George doesn’t have to emotionally intelligence to handle that. It took either CPS or the Parker family to call him out for Gwen’s home life to get any better.

But at the end of the day, that whole experience left Gwen scarred. She doesn’t trust her father to always be there when she needs him.

Even with her childhood friends, Peter and Harry, Gwen took more of a protective, nurturing role. Peter was often bully and Harry ostracized because of his father. As much as she was there for them, I don’t think they were as there for her. Whether that’s because she couldn’t let them in or because they were too blind because of their own sorrows can be debated, but she was often put into a position she needed to be strong for someone else.

Being around people who aren’t emotionally available to her left her with the impression that her problems should be her own burdens. Her independence became a core component to how she sees herself. If she can’t manage by herself, then who is she.

Adult Gwen struggles to let people in at all. It takes a lot of time and consistent affirmation. Even those she has let in can easily get kick out. A life time of uncertainty has left her wanting security. In the role she’s taken up, no one can really offer that.

Well for starters some people are so genuinely weird that they creep me the fuck out. Like I get that sexy but I do draw the line. Sure I joke about sex and stuff but I have standard.

Like seriously who comes up to a guy and says “I’m gonna touch ya” out of the blue??
