A chill starts to creep up her spine, that all consuming awareness that something was wrong. “Pete…what are you talking about? You know I help run the Research and Development Division at the Labs.”

At first he's a bit worried, reading her body language it seems as though he's said something wrong, but as soon as he mentions her job, he can't help but smile.

"At a lab? Gwen that's-- That's fantastic! Which labs?" Research and Developement? It was perfect for Gwen, something he's always been able to see her doing. There's no way to describe what he's feeling but pride. So very proud of her for moving on to something that she's always wanted to do.
