Some others i like include Vixen, Heart, The Runaways, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Lita Ford, The Pretenders, Suzi Quatro, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, etc etc.

Something about KatieJane Garside’s occasionally inaudible lyrics is quite intriguing somehow. it’s funny that no one on the internet have figured it out either, so half the time it’s a bunch of ”[?]” everywhere on genius.com. it’s like an unsolved mystery in a way.

But also she made a 4 and a half mins long song, Sleep Like Wolves, with mostly gibberish lyrics (until the end in which she says ”and i rearranged the pieces” which i keep wondering what it means).

I just found out the existence of some non officially released tracks👀 They apparantly are on an unofficial 1979 live cd (can’t find any videos unfortunately though). They probably left them out cause they didn’t think they were good enough for their album (Demolition) but i’m still curious to hear what these early songs did sound like.

Girlschool - Tush (Original 1981 version)

On Spotify and Youtube they only have the newer version (most notable difference is Kim is doing vocals in that one while in this it’s Enid). I actually didn’t know of this version until recently!

The newer version does sound a bit cleaner/more polished (tho muddiness might have to do with video quality also, i couldn’t find it in better quality than this) but i love Enid’s vocals in this one!
