congratulations on finishing grad school! Hope you've found enough time to pick up your fandom hobbies again. What fan-ish things are you working on at the mo? If I can ask specifically, is 'the color of summer' on your to-do list? That is my favourite of your works, but it's so massive an undertaking that I totally get it if you looked at it after the weight of grad school and thought "Ima gonna let that sit a while more". not quite yet (final stretch is my summer thesis) but thank you!! i’m easing back into fandom hobbies now that i feel a little less stressed, lol. at present i’m actually working on a spider-man fic because my spider-man brainrot has returned with such intense force that i start rereading the ASM comics from the first issue. and let me tell you, the stuff from the 60s can be dry AF. yet here i am!!! TCOS is definitely on my list to get back to. I have a lot of love for Natsume and I do already have a lot of key events planned out. It’s not exactly that I’m going to let it sit and not touch it, but that I’m actually going to deep dive back into the fic and reread it. Then edit it. Like actually. I have plans for TCOS, don’t worry!! I’m never abandoning it!

hi!!! omg, i will say that i’ve honestly not thought of that fic in a while. i never want to say that i’m discontinuing a work, but my interest in that one in particular is quite low at the moment. my current plan is to write out outlines for all my incomplete fics, that one included, to help me along when i finally get around to it! short answer: it might be a while, but i do want to go back to it! so it’s currently on hiatus. and i’m so happy you like my writing!!!!

I really like your fic, it help me feeling something and just giving me a good reading experience! I have a few question for this fic: 1) Would natsume eventually have uzumaki chains? 2) If there's a choice and no obligation to become a ninja, is there a chance that natsume open a bakery? 1) I do plan on exploring more about the Uzumaki skills / kekkei genkai with both Natsume and Naruto, and hopefully that question of yours will be answered soon in the fic. I just don’t want to give it away just yet… 🤫

2) Natsume would have definitely not chosen to be a ninja if he was given different opportunities. I think a baker would have been an interesting career path…he’s definitely a crafty, artsy, introverted kind of guy. I can see him either working in a library or in a cafe - probably in the back, cooking, and not actually talking to customers, haha!

Hello! I just wanted to start this off by saying I love TCOS and TMNGTCR (even the abbreviation is long as heck lol). You’re honestly an amazing writer and I aspire to write like you someday. I always come up with good plots that interest me but find a hard time building up to them like you do. Your characters, side plots, themes, grammar, and everything else that goes into your stories are paid attention to with such care. It enhances the reading experience tenfold.

My original question was about fanart. I’m reread TCOS and I remember seeing fanart linked in the story before but I’m not able to find it.

1. Did you delete it or are my eyes just failing on me?

2.Also, I was going through some of your Q&A’s and noticed how you said Natsume was a reincarnated Naruto character. Has he had multiple incarnations since he knows things about the real world?

3. I know love interests haven’t been finalized so feel free to ignore this part but how do you feel about Nastume and Karin? He thinks of her like family so it’s hard to tell if that’s in a cousin way or something that could possibly lead to more. I like the idea of them in a relationship since it’ll give more of the spotlight to Karin (a criminally underrated character considering she’s literally related to the MC in canon) and because I think they have an interesting dynamic that I can see becoming romantic. Natsume’s also looking for a wife so it also kind of works out lol.

4. Will there be any Uzumaki (OCs) introduced? Besides nagato there’s no canon Uzumaki currently alive right now. Does that mean you’ll write some in the story?

Hello! Thank you so much! I’m really glad to hear that, since a lot of my stuff I’ve really just come up with on the fly. It’s more recently that I’ve been trying to do some basic outlines for fics to help me finish them. And no need for apologies! I love answering questions and hearing thoughts on my fics, it’s great for motivation. I’d rather apologize for how long it usually takes me to GET to questions, lol. Just been a busy few months!

To answer some of your questions:

1) I don’t recall removing fanart from the fic itself, but I’ll go back and check links in case anything is broken. I’ve received a LOT of amazing fanart for this fic and try my best to repost it here on tumblr (tagged w/ Natsume’s name) and also in my discord server. The fic itself probably isn’t up to date with any links.

2) As of now, there’s just the two reincarnations I want to explore and I don’t have any current plans to change that. I am writing most of this with a basic outline, however, so things could change as I go!

3) I’m going to avoid this question just because I don’t want to confirm or deny anything, lol

4) I have a lot of Uzumaki / Uzushio plans! Hopefully they’ll all come to fruition. I don’t find it believable that every single Uzumaki was murdered, and we never got a definite answer to the question of what really happened, so as fans we’re able to play around with details like it’s our personal sandbox - and that’s exactly what I’m going to do! i don’t want to be too specific because of spoilers, but I hope this answers your question enough.
