SHAY MITCHELL Photoshoot for âCacharel Parfumsâ - 2021
spiderxlingâ:
âOh, no no noâ this stuff isnât for me. Itâs stuff I gotta drop off at F.E.A.S.T. later.â
the kid didnât look familiar and jess was in a hurry, but she still stopped. green goblin and spider-man had been involved with what had happened to the poor owner. âthatâs a big bag. can you carry that yourself?â
osburnâ:
âyou know, hanging out with me means youâll probably see your own face plastered all over tomorrowâs tabloids. kinda just an occupational hazard at this point.â
âis that your normal conversation starter?â
hardycatâ:
Felicia paused for a moment at the mention of the kid and took a deep breath before shaking the machine again, this time managing to knock down some chips. âTheyâre not doritos, but still.. Take them. Iâll manage.â
âyouâre a saint. not actually, but in this instance.â jessica gratefully took the bag. âi havenât seen any police reports with your name recently. you slowing down or something?â
aprettygirlthiefâ:
âWell, thatâs a bit harsh. Wouldnât say Iâm an alcoholic⌠I just enjoy the occasional drink.â
âi was talking about future him, not you. donât get defensive.â
xmoonsilkâ:
âIâm not feeling like Iâm split between two people anymore, so thatâs nice.â
âthe merge is over, then?â jessica asked. âi guess it has to be better that way; to not remember anything so you donât know what you lost. iâve talked to a few like you so far.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âWell still, if you need anything Iâm gonna be here. I want to do what I can to make up for this. I know it wonât happen overnight, but still. Iâm not.. this isnât what I signed up for.â Daisy sighed, frowning as she stared down at the ground and shook her head. S.H.I.E.L.D. had given her a home, a family of her own, but they had also taken her family. And now hurt many people in the process of Pleasant Hill. She wanted to help people, not hurt them, in any way. Daisy returned a tight lipped smile to Jessicaâs words and nodded, sympathizing with the woman. âAnd youâved helped more people than you probably know by doing that.â
as much as she wanted to be angry, jessica did understand. she had fallen into H.Y.D.R.A. on without knowing what she was getting into. she had worked for an agency she thought she could trust and she had been so, so wrong. ânow you get to do the same. you can learn to forgive yourself while atoning for your actions.â
celestialmadonnaâ:
Mantis listened carefully, intrigued by the information she was learning about human infants. âI have never even met a human infant,â she said. âI was a larva, then a nymph, before I grew into my adult state. Our species are very different.â
she paused. âa larva? alrighty then. youâre welcome to meet my kid, if youâd like. he zaps sometimes but heâs good for the most part.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âWell a daycare seems pretty overdue, regardless.â Daisy smiled softly, shrugging her shoulders a bit at Jessâs words until she mentioned Natasha. âWait, Natashaâs pregnant?â
âdaycare and therapists. weâre spoiled now.â nothing like basic necessities, right? they expected them to save the world and keep their kids away from CPS. jessica paused. âoh, shit. is it still a secret?â
honeykinneyâ:
âWell that sucks.â Gabby furrowed her eyebrows, feeling bad for Jessica in that case. âWork function? I see it more as a big expensive party with free food. But I guess youâre a bigger superhero than me. And Iâm going with my sister.â Hopefully. They hadnât really properly talked in awhile.
âitâs networking and diplomacy.â jessica shook her head. âwe have to be on our best behavior because you guys are letting us in. we show up, look around, have some drinks and no one lights anything on fire. easier said than done.â everyone would try to be on their best behavior, at least. âi always wished i had a sister. turns out i have a brother.â
bcrtonhawkâ:
âOuch,â Clint joked, smiling at Jessica as he tilted his head over at her. âYou know, you could have lied at least a little bit. Coulda saved my ego.âÂ
âguess it doesnât matter anymore, huh?â jessâ smile was sad. âyouâre going to forget. multiversal transition or merge or whatever. you and me? never happened.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âHey, a free shirt is a free shirt,â Daisy joked as she fiddled around with the wires on the back of the coffee machine, narrowing her eyes as she leaned in to try to get a closer look. âSounds like youâre already doing great for him. I feel like people who shelter their kids always just end up pushing them in the way. But youâre right, not too quickly. For now heâs still pretty small, right?â
âthatâs what iâve always said.â jessica chuckled at the joke. âitâs just about impossible to shelter him. his powers started manifesting when he was so little. heâs three now, but he started when he was still only crawling.â
aprettygirlthiefâ:
âGive it a shot of whiskey. Thatâs what my dad did with me.â
âi used to, but heâs not an infant anymore. iâm not trying to raise an alcoholic.âÂ
destroyrofworldsâ:
âBelieve me, Jessica. It kills me that Roger was dragged into this mess. It wasnât fair to him and it wasnât fair to you that S.H.I.E.L.D. did anything like that to someone who was reformed like he was. The last thing I signed up for when I agreed to be an agent was to bring any sort of harm to people like this. And if thereâs anything I can do to help you guys or make it up to you, I will.â Daisy took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, but she was just so pissed. With S.H.I.E.L.D., with herself, with Bobbi, but she couldnât focus on all of that. Jessica was right, there was no point in feeling sorry for herself. All she could do was try her best to show everyone that this wasnât who she was. âIâm turning in my resignation tomorrow. This isnât the S.H.I.E.L.D. that I know and I donât want any part in whatever else they might try to do. And some lawyers have already come in here and asked me to testify against them.â
roger had worked his ass off to get to where he was; to be a good man, a good father, a good partner. who the hell was s.h.i.e.l.d. to jeopardize that? âi think weâre gonna be fine.â jess shook her head. âwe have friends, people we love. he didnât say anything, but i think he talked to a psychic.â jessica wasnât even sure he remembered. she couldnât fault him. a part of her just wished she had been more in the loop. maybe it was her own fault for the distance between them. she knew it was, actually. âwhen i first left h.y.d.r.a. and moved to s.h.i.e.l.d., i hated how uncertain i felt. i couldnât testify, obviously, but iâve spent my life fighting for what iâve thought is right.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âI have more control than that, donât worry.â Daisy nodded as she focused her attention forward again and continued to practice with her powers on a training pillar. âThey didnât already have that? Donât several of you guys have kids?â
âa handful, but not many. pepper potts never brings morgan here. crystalia doesnât bring luna around. mutants stay on island, although cannonballâs wife will bring their kid here since sheâs human. but greer and i have kids. natâs knocked up. they probably did it all for her.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âThatâs awesome that you guys have someone like Roger, then. Being a single mom already makes me consider you a superhero, minus all of the spider stuff.â Daisy smiled at Jessica as she fiddled around with the panels on the back of the coffee maker and pressed some buttons to get through the menu. Then, she realized the problem as she pulled a piece of a Keurig filter out of the top. âLooks like it was jammed.â She pointed out before she continued to patch the machine back up. âBefore you know it heâll be off to college. Time is insane.â
âmy friend lindsey did get me the awful being a mom is my superpower t-shirt. honestly, iâll wear it around the house.â jessica admitted. she watched daisy fix the machine before nodding. âwell, thank god for smart people thing. thatâs what i want for gerry. college, parties, etc. the normal life his freak show mom never got. i just donât want him to get there too quickly.â
