Restoring abundance amid an economic shortfall, securing peace in a time of global conflict, sustaining hope in this winter of anxiety and fear. More than any time in recent history, The world's destiny is not of our own choosing. We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life. 19 years ago today the world stood still for what seemed like a lifetime. The world changed, We lost so much but gained an understanding of the incredible bravery and compassion we're all capable of. It didn't matter where you were from, it was a tragedy that affected us all. And the only way we got through it was leaning on one another. We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive. Thousands of people were killed 19 years ago In New York City, Washington and Pennsylvania . First responders heard and saw the attacks happen, When, after having heard the explosion from their posts, they ran into the fire to help get people out. Ran into the fire. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight. They're our firefighters and our police officers and our paramedics and our friends and family. They are our fighting men and women who deployed in a multi national force to combat terrorism. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels, but every time we think we have measured our capacity to meet a challenge, we look up and we're reminded that that capacity may well be limitless. this is a time for heroes. We will do what is hard ,We will achieve what is great. This is a time for heroes and we reach for the stars. And today we honour the memory of all those lives lost in this attack and those lost in the war on terrorism. #NeverForget https://www.instagram.com/p/CFAGRtQBM9DMzzPrWORO-cqpZHSfQevdwkXkkg0/?igshid=t1iyzsocsc5r
