Sona saw the man wandering about the Institute, and blushed at the extremely exposed muscles he possessed. "W-Welcome Pantheon, it's been a while." She managed to play with her nimble fingers, curtsying in the process.
"And to you too, Sona." he said, bowing to her in return. "The people of Targon needed me to help with a food shortage. Leading that hunting expedition was odd, but we returned with enough meat, animals, and plant seeds to last us a long time. I’m glad The Summoners have given me the leave time. And how do you do, fair Sona?"
She giggled as she imagined the summoners yelling at one another for things that weren’t really their fault or blame. Sona always felt that summoners were very dramatic and ridiculous, but that made it all the more fun. Though putting the lives of everyone in the hands of these… summoners… well that was not a fun thought indeed. She tried to remove that thought immediately.
"I should hope the system wouldn’t collapse! But I’m honored that you would believe in me so much if such a thing were to happen." She didn’t really believe that the system would ever fail. But what if it could? What would happen if the summoners lost control. Bless the high summoners, but you can only be the most powerful for so long before someone trained to beat you. And what about Kayle and Morgana? There was 100 years from the day they joined, to the day the magic releases and Morgana was allowed to become more powerful. That would be a tragic day indeed. "Do you believe that something… could happen?" Was all Sona could ask with her brain rattling as such.
He nodded. “Rumor has it that Brand wants to destroy the league. the Voidlings can’t be happy about being caged all day, save for Kog’Maw, who Isn’t caged all day. Nocturne has the same attitude as the Voidlings. Noxus would benefit from the sudden collapse of the league, they would be able to do a lot before anybody really realized what had happened. The people of Piltover aren’t particularly invested in this institute, though all the same, wouldn’t want to see it’s downfall. Zaun could want it destroyed, should it get in the way of one of their grand experiments. And all it would take is for a summoner to make a mistake in releasing Cho’Gath.” It was made rather clear that Pantheon had put much thought into this before, perhaps even enough to have battle plans.
Sona had her mouth gaping wide at all of the information that Pantheon had just fed her. She couldn’t believe that so much could potentially happen to the Institute if one little thing blew up in their faces.
She didn’t even say anything. Her mind was going crazy thinking of all those scenarios. She almost forgot she was even with Pantheon.
As a few moments passed she finally played a few notes, "I have to protect… everyone." and she believed it.
He nodded. "Those who have little invested in the Institute of War will be those called upon to defend it all the same, when the time comes." He said with such certainty, he seemed positive that it would collapse. "I willingly participate, though I hate this place. It's turned the art of war into something for passing bills. No land is gained, no blood is shed, and nothing is learned. But I would not see it destroyed. While I value war, I also value order. This place is the only thing keeping almost all of Valoran from destroying itself."
