i thought ronso elder never left the sacred mountain ((IM CRYING))
"Kimahri's good looks must be shared with all of Spira."
"Kimahri hear people talk about festival and prom. Kimahri must look pretty."
summoners-will:
Whisked up so quickly over the Ronso’s shoulders, Yuna’s legs kicked slightly out of sheer surprise. “Ah!” She gasped before moving her arms to hold onto the mighty Ronso. “Kimahri! You found a sphere?”
Letting out a uncharacteristic chuckle, Kimahri continued climbing the mountain with Yuna still firmly over his shoulder. When they finally reached the summit. The Ronso gently dropped the summoner from his shoulder and back onto her feet. "Yuna wait here."
He stalked away, leaving Yuna to await his return. Just at the bend to Zanarkand Ruins, there was a large boulder. It didn't take much effort for Kimahri to easily pull the offending object out of the way—only to reveal a small crevice. It was inside this hole where the Ronso had sneakily hid the sphere from the rest of the clan.
Removing it from it's snug hiding place, the lion stalked back towards Yuna, and dropped the glowing amber sphere into her hands. "Kimahri found sphere weeks ago. Couldn't wait to show Yuna."

Another day, another tourist. Except this one seemed different. "Journeying to Zanarkand?" He asked, out of sheer curiosity.
Kimahri hated that a once sacred and holy place had become a joke to the people of Spira. It was sacrilegious. Everyday he faced rambunctious crowds of people all wanting to get a glimpse of Zanarkand. "If so. Please leave. Kimahri has no time to help you through mountain."

Maybe it was just that the lion had been closeted away from civilization for two years. Travelling tourists would sometimes pass through the mountain hoping to make it to the Zanarkand Ruins—it had become a very popular tourist attraction in recent years. He had seen many different eccentric and revealing outfits during those two years—even his summoner had shown a sudden drastic interest in such strange clothing.
But this woman who was wandering aimlessly at the gate—another Spiran fashion disaster—had the strangest clothing of all.
Or maybe he was just getting old.
Slightly grunting at his own thoughts, the Ronso approached the blonde woman. His feline orbs studying her attentively. "Long journey to Zanarkand Ruins. Will need something heavier to keep warm."
Nothing her eyes touched was familiar in anyway, and the more she investigated, the more her confusion grew. It was distressing to be sure, and Garnet really had no idea what to do. Tired, sick of dealing with monsters, and completely lost, Garnet was coming dangerously close to becoming unable to continue.
Not fully aware of the being before her due to exhaustion, Garnet didn’t notice the large paw lower near her face, until a deep voice sounded. Whoever this was, they were obviously kind, yet the sudden shock gave Garnet a start.
“O-oh! Yes… I am lost actually. Help would be appreciated, thank you.”
The young girl jumped at Kimahri's sudden contact, he didn't mean to startle her. Sure, the Ronso weren't the most gentle or civil of species—but Kimahri was different. And right now this young girl needed his help.
Pulling the ravenette into his arms, he proceeded to carry her past the mountain entrance and into the Ronso settlement. The other Ronso watched on and grunted their disapproval. But the lion wouldn't of felt right if he had just ignored her silhouette nearing the gate. There was something about her that reminded him of his summoner.
Entering one of one of the makeshift huts. Kimahri gingerly laid her down on the ground. Pulling a thick taupe colored blanket up to her shoulders, he began to speak. "Kimahri would like to know your name?"
“Yeah, we go way back. Name’s Gippal. Nice to finally meet the Ronso Elder! You guys aren’t much for going down that mountain to visit, are you?”
"Kimahri cannot leave. Kimahri has duty to sacred mountain. Gippal have business here?"
“Spheres?” The term unknown to her and the significance it carries. Indeed she means no harm and she will take her leave then if she cannot explore any further. “I do not know of these spheres you speak of. Is it some sort of magical object?”
Grunting at her question, Kimahri approached the woman. "Sphere's contain valuable information. Spherehunter's defy sacred mountain by exploiting it for their own selfishness. Kimahri cannot allow anyone to pass." Of course, it was half a lie. All the other Ronso knew that on several occasions he had freely allowed Yuna and her spherehunter friends explore the mountain for spheres. He sometimes searched for said spheres himself, so he could surprise the ex-summoner the next time she visited.
Towering over the young woman, his golden hues began to soften. "If not here to hunt spheres. Then what is Lady here for?"
“I’d hope so. I’m kinda the leader of the Machine Faction. And aren’t you the clan leader of the Ronso? Leaders oughta know each other, I’d think!”
"Kimahri has heard of this Machine Faction from Rikku. Macine Faction Leader friend of Rikku?"

Kimahri was surprised to see such a young woman out here by herself. The nearest city was Bevelle—one would have to walk the Macalania Forest and then the Calm Lands to reach here. A journey not recommended for those travelling alone. Her journey must have been rough, she looked as if she had been battling fiend after fiend for days.
Approaching her carefully, his golden feline orbs studying her. Kimahri bent down to her level, the cobalt lion offered her a large clawed paw to sheathe her from the bitter winds. "Young woman look lost. Kimahri will help you."

The cobalt lion's ears perked up at the sight of the blonde thief reaching the base of the mountain. His lips curling into a rare smile, he began walking to meet her half way. Rikku always had this affect on people. Her spirit was simply infectious, and the Ronso was happy to see her. "Rikku is looking well. Kimahri happy to see her."
“I came back. I drifted for two years but something brought me back. If it upsets you I can see if I can get back in there.”
"Kimahri not upset. Kimahri is worried. Farplane is broken beyond repair without Guado. Kimahri fears that unsent will not be able to rest."
“Sorrow which can be easily forgotten or given into. I’m sorry for making you sense it.”
"Why is Anima wandering Spira? Anima belongs in the Farplane."
Looks like the guy was more of a chocobo person, arms crossing onto his lower stomach, brown hues watched as the taller male was giving Boko some loving affection behind the ear. Boko’s head tilted towards the clawed palm, soft coo’s slipping from the closed beak to show that he was a happy chocobo. ” Heh, his name’s Boko. ” Answering the question with the still same grin on his face, as Boko side stepped towards the figure to rub the side wing affectionately against.
Kimarhi's mouth up-turned into a goofy grin at the sound of the chocobo's coo's of approval. "Boko is kind and gentle. And he trusts you. So Kimahri will trust Bartz too." He nodded, continuing to scratch behind the bird's ear. Kimahri had always had a soft spot for chocobo's. He was way too big and heavy to mount one, but never passed the opportunity to feed or pet one.
Feline eyes move from the bird to the young man, his grin beginning to fade. "What brings you to Gagazet?"
The path seemed far more intriguing than the others one mapped out before her and she had not expected to encounter a being such as the one here. Obviously, he has a duty to fulfill here, protective of the area beyond where he stands. “My apologies, I’m not a local here, but you can call me Terra.”
The woman seemed harmless enough. But still, the Elder Ronso had to protect this sacred ground from the likes of spherehunters. This was a job he did not take lightly. Sheathing his lance, Kimarhi folded his arms over his chest. "There are no spheres on sacred mountain. Please leave."
