Bubbles in Magick
Bubbles are whimsical and fun mixes of Air and Water, and hold a magic of all their own. Many of us have fond memories of using bubbles s children whether it was from blowing them out in the summer breeze or baths overflowing with them.
Correspondences of Bubbles
Bubbles have several correspondences and uses when it comes to magick and witchcraft. Due to their whimsical and nostalgic nature they are often associated with inspiration, creativity, childhood, wonder and fantasy. Bubbles are also wonderful for protection, cleansing and purification spells seeing as they are often made through using soap. Due to the shape and shine of many bubbles they are often associated with scrying and psychic abilities as well.
Bubble Uses
Bubbles and Cleansing
There are various ways to use bubbles to cleanse oneself or their space. The most simple and obvious way being using soap in the shower or bath and while washing one’s self imagining any dark, heavy emotion and energy one has being being sucked up into the bubbles and foam, trapped inside them. Then as the bubbles go down the drain, visualize all that toxicity going with it.
One can also use a bubble wand and bubble liquid to remove their negativity by visualizing as you blow the bubbles that all your breath going into them is filled with the negativity you wish to remove from yourself. This method is best down outside to ensure when the bubble pops it doesn’t just re-release the negativity in your living space.
To cleanse one’s space or home with bubbles is simple. You either clean it gently where you are able to use soap or you may leave a dish of bubble liquid out overnight. Once it has set out you may dispose of it down the sink or outside via blowing bubbles.
Bubbles and Wishes
Like my previous Bubble Spell, bubbles are wonderful for wish making. Focus on the wish and intent you have. Let it build up in your chest and lungs then release it as you blow your bubbles. Watch them float up into the sky and once they burst know that your wish has been released out into the universe.
Bubble Scrying
Bubble scrying is one of my favorite methods of simple divination. While in a bath filled with bubble bath, close your eyes and focus on your energy. Use your finger to stir in the water and foam of the bubbles. Ask your question or what you seek in your mind our outloud. Once you are satisfied stop your stirring and open your eyes. Watch and focus on the way the bubbles move and wait. Once you see shapes and images in the soap that feel to have a significance remember what they are. I often use the associations used in tasseography to determine what the shapes and images mean.
career, income, and passion spell jar
this is a customized/modified money honey spell jar. i made this spell with my budding career and the passion I have for my work in mind. rootwork, as the name suggests, tries to get at the true “root” of the problem or what you need. I know that even though I am focused on becoming financially secure, that I will not be successful if I am not also passionately connected to what I am doing. overall I made this with ingredients that are money drawing (so i will get paid what I am worth), luck drawing (to help push me onto a clear path to success), for attraction (make opportunities im open to find me easier) and love/passion (for a career that runs parallel with my devotion to the Divine Mother, the Universe itself).
I’m a baby witch and this is my first spell, here goes!
What I used:
small recycled glass jar (cleaned in hot water and cleansed with palo santo)
raw clover honey - luck, attracting happiness and purification
nutmeg (powdered) - monetary luck, money drawing, clear sight
allspice (powdered) - money and luck drawing, energy and determination
cinnamon (powdered) - attraction, happiness, money drawing
cloves (whole) - luck and prosperity, protection from jealous rivals
rose water - healing through love, protection
oil of oregano - financial protection, luck
peppermint oil - money, passion, purification and release
bay leaves (whole) - money drawing, wish fulfillment
red roses - passion, love, protection
honeysuckle - money, luck, intuition
money (i just used change because I never have cash)
found raw agate, blessed by the light of the full moon - victory, luck, mental clarity
intention on a piece of paper (written in green, gold and red ink) crossed with a verse about Mahalakshmi
blue, red, and yellow candles - intuition, strength/passion, and luck/prosperity, respectively
piece of own hair as a taglock
After praying to the ancestors, Lord Ganesha, Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati, I began to layer a mixture of all the wet ingredients with the spices. when the jar was ¾ full, I began adding the solid ingredients such as agate, roses, honeysuckle, cloves, hair, and money. I then added the bay leaves, putting them around the perimeter of the jar for protection. finally I added a strip of paper with my specific intention crossed with several verses about the Goddess’ power to manifest abundance. I then put the metal lid on the jar and stuck a lit tea candle to the top to start sealing. as it burned, I tied honeysuckle vines around the neck of the jar and sealed them with wax. having had the red, blue, and yellow candles lit, I slowly poured some of the accumulated wax over the jar. blue first for intuition to show me my path, then red for the passion and the strength to work hard and finally yellow for luck as a recognition that help will come from outside of myself. while the tea light continued burning, I placed crystals corresponding with security, creativity, passion, and intuition around the jar. I meditated on how all of these things are necessary for me to have a successful future. i visualized this future in great detail. finally, when the candle stopped burning, I placed one bay leaf in top of the jar as the wax cooled.
Since completing this spell, I have tried to push whatever desires I have for the spell to “work” out of my mind. I placed it on my ancestral altar with two citrine crystals and a clear quartz geode for creativity and a spiritual boost. i shake the jar occasionally and just take extra care to make regular offerings to my devas and my ancestors. if im not nourishing them, how can they nourish me?
We have a 3 card love reading for @spiritleak
1. Three of Hearts- this foretells a time to grow emotionally, enjoy the life you have, with the people you are close to. Working hard is important, but so is having fun! Only then will you be ready to heal and welcome love in your life.
2. Death- Once you focus on enjoying yourself, and living your best life with a great support system, you'll start transforming into the person you want and need to be. You need to be able to let go in order to welcome something new.
3. The Star in reverse- a great card for relationships! Yet again though, something is standing in your way. In general, the reversed Star indicates a loss of hope. Could it be you've been hurt a few times, and it's drained you?
All three of these cards show that you have potential for a fulfilling, and prosperous love life! The only thing in your way is you. It's hard to let go of the past, but replaying it in your head over and over, or wondering what could have been done differently will not help you grow. A new love and relationship means a new you, a chance to not repeat the past! You've got what it takes. You just need to believe that.
Blog about Tarot & Divination
Hey, my main is @spiritleak.
I posted a while ago that I’ll be doing free readings on my main to practice. I got many requests and thank you very much for sending your questions and your positive feedbacks that it was accurate.
I’ve been reading about tarot for almost a year now but only the last 3 months I’ve put it into practice and it amazed me how detailed and accurate it is.
In order not to spam my main account with tarot Q&As, I opened this one account sorely for answering free readings and posting/rebloging tips and information.
Feel free to send in questions, I’ll start answering them between 5 of may to 2 of June when my new deck arrives cause I don’t have one anymore.
I know it’s a long wait, so you may want to send questions about something long term and not a situation that is urgent.
I’ll be answering asap after that.
Coffee readings
Fortune telling can be traced back centuries to medieval Europe. During this time, fortune tellers were using splatters of wax, lead, and other substances for their predictions and readings. Once tea was introduced to Europe from China during the 17th century, more fortune tellers transferred over to using tea leaves as the basis of their readings.
Tea leaves reading became more popular throughout places like England, Scotland, and Ireland where it was more widely available to the overall public rather than just contained to the aristocrats. While in tea drinking countries tea leaves became the main source used in fortune telling, in the Middle East fortune tellers used leftover coffee grounds instead. These readings included Turkish coffee, Lebanese coffee, and Greek coffee.
What is coffee reading?
Coffee reading is a form of fortune telling or tasseography. This means it is a way of predicting or gaining insight into a person, their past, and their future, which is usually considered unknown. The term tasseography comes from the French word “tasse” meaning cup and the Arabic words “graph” meaning writing. Tasseography is a larger and broader term that includes reading tea leaves, coffee grounds, and wine sediments.
What Coffee is Needed?
While various coffee types can be used for coffee readings, traditionally, Turkish coffee is the most common one chosen. This is due to its method of preparation, where coffee sediments are served in the coffee cup. Turkish coffee is made by first grinding the coffee beans into a fine powder. This coffee powder is then boiled in water usually along with sugar. Then transferred to a cup where the coffee sediments settle at the bottom and the coffee is drank from the top. The leftover sediments are used by the fortune tellers to make their assumption and predictions. (read more on wakacoffee.com)
Did you know? (Tarot card history)
Some modern users of tarot cards insist that the cards originated in ancient Egypt or with the Kabbalah, an ancient, esoteric Jewish school of thought aimed at explaining the relationship between an unchanging, eternal and mysterious Ein Sof, or Infinity, and the mortal and finite universe of God’s creation. Despite the interest of the modern occult and New Age practitioners in an ancient root for tarot cards, there is no real evidence that tarot cards originated earlier than the final years of the Middle Ages.
The earliest known set of tarot cards was created in the 14th century. The popularity of card games had soared after Mamluk game cards were brought to Western Europe from Turkey. The first tarot cards were likely used in a game that became popular in Italy, tarocchi appropriati. In Italian tarocchi appropriati, players were dealt random cards. The players then wrote poems about the cards based on the thematic associations of the cards.
Another possible origin for tarot cards was to play a game rather similar to modern day bridge. Wealthy Italian families would commission artists to create hand-painted decks called “cards of triumph,” or “carte da trionfi.” These cards were marked with suits of cups, swords, coins and polo sticks and had a court consisting of three males, one of which was a king. Later decks incorporated queens, trump or wild cards and the Fool to make a deck of 78 total cards.
While it may surprise modern people who associate tarot cards with divination, witchcraft and the occult, tarot cards in their original time were seen as saturated with Christianity. Each card was patterned to be covered in Christian imagery. This only began to shift after the cards became increasingly associated with and used for divination and fortune telling.
The mystical and magical associations with tarot cards had put down roots by the mid-18th century and spread outside of Italy. A French writer, Antoine Court de Gebelin, claimed that tarot cards were based on a holy book written by ancient Egyptian priests. The cards were then brought to Europe by gypsies. While this certainly gave tarot card fortunes more credibility, tarot cards predate gypsies in Europe, and ethnic gypsies were not from Africa at all.
As time passed, tarot cards became increasingly associated with the occult and the modern French-suited playing card came into major prominence in English speaking countries. The 52 card deck of hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades is arguably the closest to the original Mamluk playing card deck that sparked off European interest in playing cards in the first place. Tarot cards, however, continued to be manufactured and used. They are still used as playing cards in parts of Europe today, and the mystical associations with tarot cards has only increased some people’s interest in them. As such, tarot cards live on in both their original and more magical forms even as modern playing cards rise to challenge them on both fronts.
Antoine Court de Gébelin (1720s-1784) was an intellectual, Protestant pastor, Freemason, and occultist who traveled in powerful circles. He believed that there was once an ancient, advanced civilization that spanned the globe, and that the wisdom of this enlightened culture is at the root of common elements of symbolism and language shared by all humans.
His major work was a series of books called Le Monde primitif, analysé et comparé avec le monde moderne (“The Primeval World, Analyzed and Compared with the Modern World”), which set out his theories in a series of essays. The work was widely read and remarkably influential (Louis XVI was an admirer), and included an essay exploring the “history” of the cards used for the game of Tarot.
De Gebelin believed that Tarot trumps contained wisdom and hidden knowledge encoded by the vanished ur-civilization of humanity. His work was nothing more than a speculative flight of fancy that imagined the cards being transmitted to the priests of ancient Egypt and connected with the Book of Thoth, a title with a complex history, both real and imagined. Elements of Jewish Kabbalah and the Hebrew alphabet were also “encoded” in the cards. At some point, so he claimed, the cards came to Rome where they were used secretly by the Popes, who eventually brought them to France when the papacy was based in Avignon during the 14th century.
None of this had any roots in history or tradition: Gebelin simply concocted his theory based upon his interpretation of the imagery and structure of the deck.
Narcissists & gaslighting, Jezebel Spirits, journey to abuse healing
Psychologists state that a narcissist is someone who has covered his true self-expression in response to mental injuries and replaced it with a highly developed, compensatory false self. This other self often comes across as above others, self-centred, self-absorbed, and highly conceited.
Many of them also use gaslighting as a way to make many people around them more vulnerable to their attacks.
Gaslighting is a form of peristent manipulation and constant indirect brainwashing that causes the victim to doubt himself, his opinions and side of the stoy. The goal is to ultimately lose one’s own sense of perception, identity, and self-worth. A gaslighter’s statements and accusations are often based on deliberate falsehoods and calculated marginalization. The term gaslighting is derived from the 1944 film Gaslight, where a husband tries to convince his wife that she’s insane by causing her to question herself and her reality.
Many narcissists are gaslighters but it's not necessary to always coexist 100% . Someone could have antisocial personality disorder (sociopathy) and use gaslighting to manipulate, for instance.
Both narcissists and gaslighters tend to project false, idealized images of themselves to the world, in order to hide their inner insecurities. Many narcissists like to impress others by making themselves look good externally. This complex can exhibit itself physically, romantically, sexually, socially, religiously, financially, materially, professionally, academically, or culturally. The underlying message of this display is: “I’m better than you!” or “Look at how special I am — I’m worthy of everyone’s love, admiration, and acceptance!”
Both narcissists and gaslighters have a desire to make decisions for others to suit their own benefit. Narcissists may use their romantic family members, friends, or colleague to meet unreasonable self-serving needs, fulfill unrealized dreams, or cover-up weaknesses and shortcomings. Narcissists are also fond of using blame, guilt and victimhood as manipulative means.
Gaslighters conduct psychological manipulation toward individuals and groups through persistent distortion of the truth, with the intention of causing their victims to question themselves and feel less confident. In personal and professional environments, they manipulate by telling others how they should think, feel, and behave under the gaslighter’s unreasonable restrictions. They often become judgemental, angry, intimidating, and hostile toward those who fail to bow down to their directives. Gaslighter manipulation is often highly aggressive, with punitive measures (tangible or psychological) executed toward those who fail to recognize and obey their self-perceived authority.
Jezebel spirits - the spiritual side of manipulative people
How can you tell if a Jezebel spirit is affecting your actions or using someone close to you?
In her book, “Jezebel’s Puppets” Jennifer LeClaire describes Jezebel as: “A wicked spirit that has roamed the earth for thousands of years seeking someone to entice into sin, Jezebel is more than a spirit of control and manipulation that many make it out to be. Jezebel is a spirit of seduction that works to woo people into immorality and idolatry….”
People influenced by a spirit of Jezebel have fear issues of rejection. They control others so that they will not be hurt. Generally, there is a history of trauma or abuse. They are not accountable to anyone and often accuse others of being a Jezebel. A Jezebel never forgets when they are wronged because they struggle to forgive others. Therefore, he/she will not be at peace until they find revenge, even if it takes years to achieve. Jezebels do not forgive nor forget. Such a person is capable of killing you emotionally or destroying your life. In the bible, such was the case with the Pharisees, they found Jesus teachings offensive and very hurtful to them and they eventually sort to kill and destroy Jesus. Those under Jezebel in position whether in the workplace, ministry or family dynamics; will tend to fear him/her because when a Jezebel is in power, he/she has an authoritative and threatening demeanour. He/she will cunningly make you believe that you need him/her and you’re nothing without their help. A Jezebel spirit is never wrong, unless it is a temporary admittance of guilt to gain favor with someone, make them feel empathy and confuse them. To accept actual responsibility would violate the core of insecurity and pride from which it operates. When a Jezebel apologizes it is never in true repentance or acknowledgment of wrongdoing. It’s unbelievably painful when it’s a member of your own family. People have a hard time believing anyone could be so cruel. It’s life shattering to come to grips with this as reality
No matter what someone’s religious and spiritual views are, I believe we all agree that it is important to heal. To heal from emotionally draining people and situations and eventually get out. Heal from the self doubt and self hate we are being put through when dealing with such a person. Gain our lost confidence back and realize that they are the problem, not us.
How will that healing take place?
Try to get educated on the topic. Watch Youtube videos and read about such behaviors. Knowledge is your biggest weapon against manipulation and hurt. Understand that they are not who they show they are and also realize what they want from you.
Begin to notice that self-care is something you need to participate in consistently. Not sorely because you are healing from emotional abuse, but because healthy people, in general, understand the importance of putting on their oxygen mask before they can help others.Life can be stressful enough without the added obstacle of toxic abuse. It only stands to reason that if your goal is narcissistic abuse recovery, your body and mind require extreme self-care. This might include reducing social engagements, staying off of the internet, saying “no” to friends and family, taking a nap when you feel exhausted, and making time to do meditations. You resist the urge to make excuses as to why you can’t take care of yourself, realizing that even single mothers can work self-care into their schedules. If you are a single mother, you deliberately get a babysitter on occasion to take yourself out. Do guided meditations, treat yourself with spending time doing what you love, listen to relaxing music. One step at a time. You are worth this.
No longer obsess about the narcissist with their new supply or the fact that they seem so happy because you can come to understand that the narcissist is destined to repeat the same cycle of abuse with anyone they are with at any given time. There is an African, humanist philosophy called Ubuntu. At its most basic, it states that: ‘A person is a person through other people’. Who you choose to associate with will have an influence on who you are. This means that surrounding yourself with narcissists, manipulators, and abusers will lead to deep unhappiness.
WIsh you luck on your beautiful journey!
Green Tips for the Urban Witch
A.K.A. things to keep in mind wherever you are on the globe without an easy access to nature.
🍀 Look around! Are there parks nearby? Florists? Floral events or markets? No city is ever truly devoid of access to plants!
🍀Do you research before getting plants or flowers! What kind of climate do you live in? Are the plants you want to buy deadly to cats? Do you need specific skills or material to take care of this plant?
🍀Aromatic plants are a good way to insert some vegetal power in your house! Why not try to grow your own?
🍀Freshly cut herbs are good but remember that store-bought is fine too! Just remember to check for quality first, dried herbs are heavily dried and any chemical (or pesticide) used on the fresh plant can be concentrated on it up to 10 times.
🍀 Gathering wildflowers and greens is fine, but make sure you are legally allowed to do so first!
🍀 Plants in a bedroom are very aesthetically pleasing but do remember that photosynthesis and oxygen production only happen during the day. Plants breathe at night too. You do not want a jungle around your bed.
🍀 Pay attention to your environment: the hemisphere, the seasons, the orientation of your place… All of these factors have a direct influence on the growth of your plants
🍀 Do you know what’s magical? Vegetables. Yes, those greens are varied, full of good things with each their own personal correspondence. Even better? Season vegetables.
🍀 If you are truly desperate…plastic plants on an altar can work just fine if you want to see some green once in a while.

Candle Burning Tips
Witches, if you use jar candles for your craft, it is helpful to know the proper way to burn them. If you burn candles incorrectly, they can have a shorter lifespan, burn unevenly, or even explode. Here are a few things to know:
*always trim your wick to ¼ an inch to keep from producing excess soot
*the first time you burn your candle, make sure to let the top layer of wax melt completely, or else for the rest of the time you burn the candle it may pool in the center
*never burn a candle for longer than 4 hours
*avoid burning candles near walls to prevent soot from staining
*get rid of candles with less than ½ an inch of wax left, as they can get too hot
*choose a soy-based wax candle if there is any chance of spills, as it melts at a lower temp than paraffin based wax.
As always, never leave candles burning unattended and take proper fire safety precautions. Blessed be 🙏

ALTAR 101 🔮✨
•••☽◯☾•••
Here is a guide to setting up your altar based on common traditions for those new to Wicca or interested in beginning or even those practicing wiccans just looking to shake up your current set up!
•••☽◯☾•••
The most important step in setting up your altar is choosing its location; finding a spot where you are comfortable and feel positive energy is SO important! Even small things such as choosing directionality of your altar is important - if you will be using a round table/stand, directionality may not be as important, but if you are using a square set up or intend to always face the same direction when using your altar, choose the directionality which you feel closest to (you can also change directionality with certain spells if you like):
• North: Earth 🌏
• South: Fire🔥
• East: Air 💨
• West: Water💧
It is optimal to purify and cleanse the area you intend to use for your altar as well as the table/stand you choose to use.
•••☽◯☾•••
What you choose to set up your altar on is 110% a personal choice. If you don’t want to spend money looking for a specific altar table or building something special to use, simply using something you have laying around already is absolutely fine! For instance, I used an old coffee table that I had laying around not in use. As long as you purify the item with your intent, it can be anything you need. Another consideration is storage - some altars I’ve seen online have drawers and storage beneath which is a great option if space is limited! You will need someplace to store candles, herbs, stones, etc. Also important is deciding how mobile you need your altar to be - if you are a closet witch, mobility is important and a formal set up may not be plausible. Here are some beautiful altar table examples:
•••☽◯☾•••
Items of the Altar Include;
⭐️ Athame: A ceremonial blade; primarily this is used as a tool to channel energy through - this is not traditionally used as a cutting tool. Can be used to cast your circle as well as to invoke the elements of the four directions.
⭐️ Bell: Used to open and close rituals - typically associated with banishing of negative influences and energies.
⭐️ Boline: Traditionally used as a cutting tool for herbs, ribbon, flowers, etc.
⭐️ Cauldron: Used for burning of herbs, mixing of herbs, burning of symbols / paper. This should typically be cast iron since it will contain fire often times.
⭐️ Chalice: Used to hold blessed wine or water during rituals or spells.
⭐️ God Candle: Can be yellow or gold in coloration; Used to invoke masculine energies
⭐️ Goddess Candle: Can be white or silver in coloration; Used to invoke feminine energies
⭐️ Pentacle: Used to invoke positive energies into a circle; often times items can be “charged” upon a pentacle
⭐️ Wand: Another tool of invokation used to invoke the gods and sacred energies. Like the athame, this too can be used to cast a circle.
•••☽◯☾•••
One option for setting up the altar is a more “traditional” set up dividing the table into feminine and masculine energies. The left side is traditionally meant for femininity with items such as your goddess statue, goddess candle, chalice, bowl of water, cauldron, pentacle, crystals, and bell. The masculine right side includes your god statue, god candle, incense, wand, salt, athame, boline, and matches. The center of the altar is dedicated to ritual and magic set up.
•••☽◯☾•••
Another common style is an elemental set up with items representative of water (chalice, bowl of water, cauldron) being set to the west, air (bell, wand, incense) to the east, earth (pentacle, salt, stones) to north, and fire (athame, boline, matches / oils) to the south.
•••☽◯☾•••
Other items you could consider adding to your altar representative of each element:
💧 Water: Seashells, Ace of Cups (Tarot), Rainwater, Mirrors, Driftwood, Seaweed, Crystal Ball, Goblet
🔥 Fire: Cactus, Volcanic Stone, Ash, Ace of Wands (Tarot), Lantern, Dragon Statue, Cinnamon Sticks, Incense
🍃 Earth: Ceramics, Coin, Stones, Soil, Salt, Ace of Pentacles, Seeds, Herbs, Flowers, Bone
💨 Air: Diffuser, Ribbons, Wind Instruments, Fans, Butterfly Imagry, Feathers, Ace of Swords (Tarot)
•••☽◯☾•••
I hope this was helpful as a basic guide! As always I encourage everyone to do things along their own personal style and employ things meaningful to you. ♥️
Did you know that the varying shapes of crystals actually have different characteristics? Along with the properties a stone has, its shape and formation brings additional benefits. You may have been drawn to a beautiful celestite cluster you saw in a display window, or a tiny satchel full of pyrite
