Skyward Sword is meant to be the prequel of all prequels for a franchise that’s been around since the 80s. Since then fans tried to piece together their own timeline, until this game came out which explains the origins of the master sword, how the royal family has unique light magic, the first hero, and the curse that bounds three people together for eternity.
Don’t be fooled! This Zelda is no princess, but instead a knight in training. She was just your normal, everyday girl next door. Until she awakens her true self where she finds out her divine origins as being a goddess named Hylia. It’s something she takes well even if it leaves her head spinning, she’s one who rolls with the punches so she’s a tough cookie!
Main verse is set during the events of the game. I do have post game verse and pre game verse all together no worries!
While I try to stick to canon, I do diverge a little when it comes to my own headcanons to flesh her out as best as I can. These posts are good examples by what I mean as well as I put in the rules! The headcanon tag has everything, though so here you go too!
An important thing to note is that I don’t think every Zelda is a reincarnation of Hylia. This post explains it in depth, and this is highly important for both Sky and ALttP Zelda as well since it applies to them both.
