Next Saturday, August 24, we're playing a show in beautiful Nevada City at the historic National Hotel with our best friends Prescription. Gonna be mobbing way deep up there, so lets get a ton of Reno heads to come rep our brand of phreak to those NorCal potfarmers and bead retailers. HIT US UP IF YOU WANNA RIDE, lets negotiate a bunch of carpooling! The week after next (NOV 9), we'll be playing The Holland Gallery opening of the art show "In Other Worlds" featuring work from Kate Csillagi, Andy Le, and Lucy Van Der Elst (Paris). The work is delicate and wondrous.

We'll be joining Thee Indoors, Nucular Aminals (K Records/PDX), and the heartbliss of Penny and Her Lower Case Kindred (shadowpuppets/synths [Amber]). This will be a very different show than usual, and one we're very excited about! cya there baby!

also THIS FRIDAY we're playing with Seattle's tyrants of fun, Big Eyes! Live at Harrah's. We're gunna imlplode the skyscraper with obnoxious riffs and flamboyant disregard!

We are thrilled to finally announce the release of the first Spitting Image record, "Valley Floor". It is a three-song 7" and is the first release on our own imprint, Negative Space Extensions.

In wonderful addition, the first 150 copies of 300 will include "Sympathy for the Detail", a collaborative zine featuring work from a grip of Northern Nevada's best working visual artists.

"Sympathy for the Detail" is to serve as a visual complement to the music and lyrical content of "Valley Floor" and includes work from Chris Carnel, Michael Sarich, Nick Larsen, Kelly Peyton, Dane Haman, Ashley Westwood, Alisha Funkhouser, Megan Kay, Toni Ortega, Miwah Lee, Alana Berglund, Michelle Laxalt, Matt Lundahl, Jake Graves, and more.

Through his silkscreened prints and altered photographic images, Austin Pratt combines the rich spiritual and artistic history of the Middle East with the rebellious, promethean spirit of the far West. His work explores cultural geography and his presence within it.

Anthony Renda’s photography examines masculinity non-evasively through utilitarian structures and shapes. In almost direct contrast, his ceramic pieces blatantly reflect phallic forms, specifically in relation to religion and the social anxiety of sex and religion.
