Discover the show while I was bored and now I can't get it out of my head. All of the characters are so likable and the plot/pacing is incredible good.. Currently on my fourth time watching this in like a month (going for a fifth soon)
I haven't watched Carmen Sandiego in a long time and sometimes when I see your art it looks so true to the show's art style that I wonder if there was like a g/t coded scene that I missed or something

Hi! First, thank you for your patience to @rc-fireworksandvalentinesmodding! I had a lot of work setbacks and even a move! hahaha. But here's my gift, which is for @mintii-sherbet!
I came up with the idea of creating an AU where VILE is a high school where Gray and Carmen met. The main illustration here is from their prom! I hope you like it! But I also have more drawings to show with a little context.
I didn't want to do just one illustration because I felt it wouldn't be enough for everything this AU could be. So maybe I got a little carried away and included a few more things. For example:
At the beginning of high school, Carmen and Graham shared geography, history, and chemistry classes. Initially, they didn't like each other, especially because Gray made fun of Carmen's small size, while Carmen played pranks on him, though it was NEVER confirmed if it was actually her (when they started dating, Carmen revealed to Gray that it was her and how she did it).
In a chemistry class, they were paired up for a project, which neither of them was thrilled about. However, if they wanted to pass the course and stay in their respective sports clubs, they had to succeed. So they tried their best to tolerate each other and complete the project. This led them to realize they had common interests and even shared hobbies. From that project onward, they became closer friends, sharing hobbies, some friends, and little by little, they fell in love.
Now, about their sports clubs.
Carmen is on the volleyball team! She's a spiker, and as her character sheet says, she became the team's leader.
Gray is on the rugby team! He's best known for his speed, although he's strong, he's much better at speed. He was a little reluctant to be captain of his team when they asked him to be. "Too many responsibilities, mate," were his words. So he became vice-captain.
AND! I couldn't help but think of their yearbook photos! So here's what they would look like and the phrase they'd like to be remembered with.

think of jatbs/brave little tailor sorta kindaaa,, carmen is caught stealing and is prosecuted by the kingdom council (VILE faculty) and her “punishment” is to come back with the head of a monster lalala (they obv think that she can’t pull it off)
she finds this monster who calls himself graham (lame ass name booo) and she uhhhh she slays him,, alright,, just not what they had expected (tomato tomato tomato !! loud incorrect buzzer)
