Alright y'all, I just finished reading Atmosphere - Taylor Jenkins Reid (crying my eyes out btw) so I'm sitting down with the last chapter of Splinters now, wish me luck!

Hello everyone, my wife had a few weeks off work and I fell off the face of the earth 😂 sorry about that. I will be getting back to writing again early next week once she goes back though, so hopefully it won't be long before we wrap up the first book in Splinters 😊

I need suggestions. Are there any particular moments in Splinters & Sparks that you think would be cool from another POV and who?

Alright guys, we're starting a little side project with the Splinters series!

As many of you know, I wrote a lil one-shot in Johanna's POV to get an idea of where she was at before writing Chapter 26. Now that Chapter 26 is out - which you can click here to read now if you haven't already, I can now also share Johanna's chapter with you!

Ya know what I've just realised really pisses me off? And it might've been a conscious choice by Collins honestly, but besides being told that Johanna had demonstrated a 'wicked ability to kill' by Katniss when talking about Jo's games, we never actually get to see it?

We're told that a lot of the Victors going into the Quarter Quell are all thoroughly not to be fucked with for their own reasons. The Careers obviously and Enobaria's teeth, FInnick with his trident and Johanna and her axe/axes. But then we actually get to see Finnick doing all his Trident combat stuff. In the Arena and then again in the Capitol during the events of Mockingjay.

Johanna gets to toss an Axe roughly in the direction of Brutus and Enobaria and even that's more for distraction. And by Mockingjay ,because she's captured by the Capitol and then PTSD triggered by Coin, she's been thoroughly neutered.

Maybe it's just me, but I would of loved to at least one fight scene in the Arena with her where we got to see just how deadly she was before all that. I think it would of made how helpless the Capitol and 13 make her in Mockingjay hit even harder.

I have good news, and I have bad news 👀

Good news first: I think I've cracked it! I've figured out where they both are emotionally and how they would be around each other! So the chapters if FINALLY coming together!

But then the Bad news: It is ANGSTY guys omg 😬

I do think I'm really cooking here though so I need you to trust me... and remember I'm writing all three books. So it's okay if we're hitting the angsts for a little while right?? Anyway, here's the little sound clip that's unstuck the vibes of this whole chapter for me.... soorrrryyyyy...

Alright census time, I still have no idea which direction to choose but lets get your opinions.

So far I have written 5 versions of CH26, I'm not saying your vote will be the one I pick but In the spirit of trying to keep these useless gays in character.

Which do ya'll think is most realistic?

Johanna and Katniss don't make up at all
