her eyes softened, ever since their parents tragic death, he had been going downhill. and she felt it was her fault. well, it was her fault. but because it was her fault, she felt it was only right to try and steer her younger brother in the right direction. “jer, you are cut out for it, you’re a gilbert, and we’re pretty damn smart.” she teased softly. hoping to get at least a small smile out of him. “do you think mom or dad would like seeing you skipping school?” she asked.

He narrowed his eyes at his sister giving a soft shake to his head before letting out a scoff. “ ---- I’m not like you this is who I am now.” The game she was playing; trying to guilt him using mom and dad was out of line. Though he knew that they would not be happy with his drug use and drinking let alone skipping classes. He just needed to go through the motions and this is how he was dealing with their death. He was his own person. “ ---- I’ll be home late tonight.. Don’t wait up and tell Jenna give her a heads up.”

Lydia drops her bags the minute Willow opens the door a broad smile on her face. Tip toeing the shorter red head goes in for a hug.

“Willow!” she greets her. “You really have no idea how glad I am to be here.” she says with feeling.

“What about you?” she asks taking a step back to take her cousin in.

Sunnydale was not like your usual town and she heard about some of the things going around in Beacon Hills. Guess things were the same pretty much everywhere?

Though there was one thing that she kept from her cousin and that was the fact that she delved into well, learned she was a witch.

“ ---- I’ve been good, you know the same ole, same ole.” She shrugged before taking a step back. “ ---- Just been busy with the school stuff. Boring Willow.”

they had come to a disagreement, jeremy had skipped class and elena was left to cover for him. it was what a big sister was for. or at least so she thought. their disagreement was followed by elena asking why he even wanted to skip. why not just go to class. but low and behold, he still thought skipping was better. she couldn’t stop the smirk that was beginning to form across her features. “well when you’ve been around someone like you enough, it becomes contagious.” she teased. but following his question, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “if you went to class, you would have known what you missed.” she replied in the most sisterly way. “but you didn’t miss much, just lecture upon lectures.”

Jeremy looked to his sister before he shrugged. Honestly he wasn’t into going to class. It wasn’t really this thing, it was just a waste of time to him. What the hell was he going to do that he needed all this damn math? Just Jere hoped that Elena didn’t see the alcohol hiding in his back pocket, she would surely kick his ass for that. Not that he really cared about if she did or not he didn’t feel like hearing her mouth. “ —-Got a point, I’m not cut out for this shit anyways.”

She had been excited with the fact that her cousin was coming to spend some time with her. Lydia had always been one in the family to understand her as they shared the same unique smarts. Except she was the quirky one more of the outcast. Hearing the knock Willow ran down the stairs. “ ---- I got it!” She yelled quickly opening up the door.
