Dean in First Blood (12.09)
Connection Series
Summary: Youâre a Winchester. Sam and Deanâs little sister. Same dad, different mom. You spend your life traveling with your brothers and moving to different schools, never staying in one place for more than a few weeks. But when your brothers tell you they found a case in California, youâre thrown into a completely different world - the town of Beacon Hills. When you meet a group of suspicious friends who keep finding themselves in the middle of murders, you realize that this case is going to be a lot more difficult to solve - especially when youâre starting to fall for one of the suspects.

Part 1
Part 2
âHere is the schedule that you will be following. Your first class of the day is English with Ms. Blake - lovely woman. Once you get the rest of your papers, Iâll show you where the classroom is,â the principal explained, straightening out his suit. He was a kind man with a very laid-back demeanor, and hadnât stopped assuring you that you would be great in this school. âYouâre lucky you moved here early in the school year; youâll have barely any catching up to do.â
Sam was watching you with immense pride. He adored witnessing you in school, since it brought back personal memories from when he had been a student himself. It was obvious he still had a soft spot for learning, and you felt guilty for disliking school when it had always been a dream for Sam. You glanced at your brother to return the smile, knowing youâd appreciate this experience for his benefit more than your own.
I hope I'm not bothering. I was just curious if we'll see some 'Conection' soon? I love it. đ I really hope I'm not bothering you. Have a nice day. đ
you will! I was caught up with a few responsibilities, but part 3 is almost finished. Iâm going to try to get it posted tonight!
this was how my weekend went... i don't think i'll be recovering anytime soon
Connection Part 2
*I got a lot of amazing feedback from you guys already so here is part 2! Let me know what you think! Everything will start to happen in the next part!*
Warnings: None
Part 1
It was late afternoon the next day when you arrived into town, the sky slowly beginning to fade to a dark blue.
âWelcome to Beacon Hills,â you read aloud, watching the sign pass quickly and make way for the darkening forest, the trees casting shadows eerie enough to make you shudder.
It only took minutes for a motel to roll into sight, the weather comfortably warm as you hopped out of the Impala the second it parked, eager to stretch your legs. Dean checked in as you and Sam grabbed the bags from the trunk.
âIâm starving,â you gushed once you were inside the room, jumping onto one of the stiff beds. âCan we get chinese? I donât want to go out and drive again.â Your brothers grunted in approval and Sam was on the phone in minutes ordering delivery from the first place he found. In the meantime, you decided to take a shower to scrub the car feeling from your skin. You grabbed a comfy flannel and sweats and headed to the bathroom.
You locked the door behind you and started up the water, making it almost as hot as it could go. You watched yourself in the mirror, the steam blurring your reflection. You couldnât help but wonder what this school would be like and how you would fit in. Would they find you weird? That wasnât unusual. Would they even acknowledge you? You couldnât help the nerves that were tangling in your stomach. You constantly assured your brothers that new schools didnât bother you, but there was always a slight uneasiness before the first day. Without thinking any further, you stepped into the shower, hoping the water would wash away your thoughts.
****
Half an hour later, you were sprawled in a chair, hair dripping wet, eating fried rice at the small table by the door. Sam and Dean were sitting at the other chairs, watching you quietly as they ate. You noticed their silence and tensed up, clearing your throat.
âWhat are you not telling me?â you asked hesitantly.
âThereâs something I want to explain before you go to school tomorrow,â Sam said. He paused, struggling to find his words.
âSure, what is it?â you urged him on.
âA lot of the stuff that happens in this town usually affects the school. A lot of teenagers go missing and are found dead.â He stopped, taking a breath. You could tell it was hard for him to bring this up. âWe need you to be careful and make sure you always know whatâs going on around you so you can stay safe,â he explained. âWe canât let anything happen to you.â
âOf course, guys, Iâm always safe. I know how to fight, you donât have to worry about me,â you assured.
âYou also have to be our eyes and ears in there. We donât know who has connections to these murders, but since teenagers seem to be targeted, you need to let us know if you see or hear anything,â Dean added.
âI will. Donât worry. I might even solve the case before you do,â you teased, earning a soft laugh from Dean. The boys relaxed a little, and the three of you spent the rest of the night joking around and pestering each other, knowing that it would be the last normal time youâd have together until the case was finished.
****
âY/N,â you heard a low voice whisper, feeling someone slightly nudge your shoulder. âItâs time to wake up. Come on.â You groaned, rolling onto your side and squinting your eyes to see Sam kneeling beside you. He smiled. âGood morning. I have coffee. Go get ready for school.â He stood and placed a coffee cup on the bedside table. You sighed heavily, looking over your shoulder to see Dean still asleep beside you.
âStupid school,â you muttered, stumbling out of bed, wishing you could stay and sleep longer. It didnât take much time for you to get ready. You changed into jeans and a maroon t-shirt, throwing a flannel on over it. The only makeup you ever bothered wearing was mascara, so you were ready to go in about 10 minutes. After brushing your teeth, you emerged from the bathroom and slipped on your converse. You grabbed a backpack youâd brought along, shoved a notebook and pen inside, and looked at Sam expectantly.
âReady?â he asked, grabbing the car keys.
âAs Iâll ever be,â you responded, taking your coffee and following Sam out the door.
âSo what are the names I should know before walking in there?â you asked once you two were on your way to the school.
âStilinski, for sure. Thatâs the Sheriffâs name. His son is definitely someone we should watch, so keep an eye out for him. They call him âStilesâ in the police reports.â
âStiles Stilinski? What kind of name is that?â you asked. Sam shrugged.
âIâm not too sure. But if heâs a suspect, Iâd watch out for his friends too. I donât think it will take you too long to find them.â The car pulled to a stop at the side of the school. From what you could see, it didnât look too bad. The palm trees were a nice touch, and the school wasnât completely brick, as they usually were. There was a sign on the grass that boldly stated Beacon Hills High School. There wasnât anybody outside, since the principal had apparently told Sam to bring you in after the morning rush, knowing youâd already feel overwhelmed. Sam killed the engine and looked over at you.
âReady?â he asked encouragingly. You took a deep breath and nodded.
âReady.â

I made you a promise, in that church. You and me. Come whatever. Well, hell, if this ainât whatever. But you got to let me in, man. You got to let me help. There ainât no me if there ainât no you.

Warnings: Mentions of violent murders
âDinnerâs here!â Dean called, his voice echoing through the halls of the bunker. You emerged from your room almost immediately, heading towards the grumbling sound of your brothers talking in the kitchen. You could smell the pizza before you reached the room and ran in, spotting Sam pulling a slice from the box, Dean already halfway through with his piece.
âI hope you got fries,â you warned as you grabbed a paper plate, Dean instantly plopping a take out container in front of you. You smiled in victory and sat down next to Sam, the both of you facing Dean.
âSo, we got a case,â Dean told you, his mouth full of food.
âChew first, then speak,â you reminded him, earning an eye roll.
âThis town in California. Lots of crazy things going on over there.â
âCrazy how?â
âSupernatural crazy, thatâs for sure,â Sam chimed in. âWe thought it was just werewolves at first, but when we dug a little deeper, we found a lot more.â
âBodies found in the woods, teenagers missing, wolves spotted in public places,â Dean added.
âCalifornia doesnât have wolves,â you stated.
âExactly. Itâs basically anything you wouldnât expect from a small town thatâs almost in the middle of nowhere,â Dean said.
âAnd get this - the FBI was sent there a few years back to research a string of murders, but they left after a while without finding anything,â Sam said, wiping his hands on a napkin before grabbing his laptop. âThe reports didnât say much, but the sheriff of the town was being watched. Actually, so was his sonâŚâ he trailed off, squinting his eyes at something he was reading. âHis son was in the middle of the mess too. But I saw him somewhere else⌠here. Wow.â He clicked a button and turned the laptop around for you and Dean to see. He had searched the sheriffâs sonâs name and found a list of cases that he was tangled in.
âTroublemaker,â you muttered, taking in the list in front of you. âSo whatâs the deal now?â
âMurders are happening again, but⌠this time theyâre even more confusing. We donât know what it is, but the victims all have the same injuries. They were all strangled, took a blow to the head, and had a slit throat. Each separate injury was fatal in itself. Whoever killed them really wanted them dead,â Sam explained. You let out a breath at the vulgarity of the situation.
âWe wanna get going as soon as possible so nobody else dies. Weâll probably head out tomorrow morning. You good with that?â Dean asked, and you nodded at him, sticking a fry in your mouth.
âOn to school number 24,â you joked, causing Dean to freeze up.
âHave you been counting?â He asked cautiously.
âNo, I just like that number,â you laughed, watching his shoulders drop with ease. You were receiving your education from schools all over the country, and Dean hated it. He knew what it was like to keep transferring, how it was hard to make friends or even pass a grade when you knew you were going to be gone in a few weeks time. You didnât mind it, though. You loved your brothers more than anything, and you wanted to stay with them on every hunt, even though they tried to keep you out of it most of the time. Besides, it was fun to meet different people and experience different towns. The best part was that you never cared what people thought of you, since you knew once you left youâd never see them again. You finished your pizza and stood up from the table.
âIâm gonna go pack my bag,â you informed, dumping your paper plate in the garbage and strolling towards your room.
Almost an hour had passed when you were sat on your bed, your duffel bag stuffed with clothes, shoes, and notebooks. Your family knew how to pack light, considering you basically lived on the road, so having only one bag was plenty. There was a soft knock on your door before Dean peeked his head in.
âHey, kiddo. Can I come in?â he asked, and you gestured for him to enter, moving the bag over so he could join you. His emerald eyes were tired and watching you with a hint of regret.
âWhatâs up?â you asked, your eyebrows furrowed. He hesitated before responding.
âAre you good with us leaving again? âCause weâve made the bunker our home, and itâs really a pain to keep switching schools, so if you want to stay behind, you can. I donât have a problem with that. You donât have to keep stopping your life to follow us around the country,â Dean told you, guilt apparent in his features. You sighed, upset to see him in such a manner. Your brother had a rough childhood. You werenât there to witness it, but it was evident in almost every encounter he had with you. Sam used to tell you stories about how your father treated them while they were kids, and it made your stomach churn. He had been completely different with you during the few years he was alive to take care of you. Once he passed, Dean swore to let you have a normal life, even though you knew that hunting was inevitable for the Winchesters.
âDean, itâs okay. I like traveling. I donât mind switching schools. Iâd rather be you guys than stay here alone. Our job is important, no matter the price we have to pay,â you said.
âI know, but when you said that at dinner, I-â
âI was joking! Dean, I was making light of the situation. I really donât mind. I promise,â you insisted. He glanced at you for a few seconds before pulling you into a hug.
âOkay. Weâre gonna leave at eight oâclock tomorrow. Get some sleep,â he told you, pressing a kiss to your temple.
âGoodnight, Dean.â You watched him walk towards you door.
âNight, sweetheart,â he smiled, closing the door behind him.
****
The three of you met in the hallway at eight on the dot, everyone sporting a flannel and gripping a packed duffel bag.
âWow,â you giggled. âI wonder if weâre related.â Your brothers dismissed your joke with a chuckle as they headed towards the Impala, leaving you to trail behind. You put your bag in the trunk first and climbed into the backseat, making yourself comfortable as your brothers packed the rest of the stuff and settled into the car.
âAlright, letâs go,â Dean said as he started the car.
âHow long will the drive be?â you asked once you were on the road.
âTwenty-four hours,â Sam answered, laughing when you groaned loudly. âDonât worry, weâll drive as much as we can today and stop somewhere for the night. You might as well go to sleep for a bit to pass the time.â You agreed to that, grabbing one of Deanâs jackets from the floor to use as a pillow. You suddenly remembered you didnât even know exactly where you were headed.
âI forgot to ask. What town are we going to?â Dean looked over his shoulder to respond.
âBeacon Hills.â
**Iâm not really sure what I want to do with this, but I had an idea and I wanted to write it! I donât know how long Iâll make it, but please leave some feedback!**
