"My best friend has been diagnosed with MS.

On April 17th, 2019 she has her first appointment with a specialist in NYC. Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover the visits to the necessary specialist. The first appointment will cost $800 and $500 for follow ups. She needs at least 2-3 visits before she can transfer to an associate who does take her insurance. 

There is no way around these appointments, they are vital for her every day life and for receiving the correct treatment. As a teacher for troubled teens she and her husband rely on her income and, as you know, a teacher's salary is ridiculously low. Without proper treatment she won't be able to work and this is unacceptable. She loves her job, she loves life and I love her.

I have, unfortunately, no other way of helping her. Which is, why I decided to try this option to raise enough funds for her appointments and the necessary travel expenses.

UPDATE: UPDATE (28/11/2018): after a few weeks facing hell wit a freaking boil on my lower back, im better now. thanks, guys, for the messages and the worry. you’re all amazing. everything is fine for this month, but for the next…  on january i’ll start (again) to look for a job near my home. please, help me on december. is christmas, i don’t want to stay even more worried that i already am. things are though for me around here, but i’ll never loose hope. donate to my paypal, if you can. anything can make a huge difference. if you have any trouble, i can send you a payment order. thanks for everything, again. please, reblog this post as much as you can, even if you can help me. <3

Castiel is a five year old Mobility Assistance dog trained by Leash Of Hope Assistance Dogs. He helps Shantal with various day to day tasks like picking up dropped items, helping her balance when walking short distances and helps her get around the city in her wheelchair which gives her the confidence to live alone. In the time they’ve been training together he’s become a great friend and emotional support as well. Leash of Hope Assistance Dogs, based out of Vancouver B.C., adopts and trains rescue dogs to assist people with disabilities and gives them a new chance in life. Leash of Hope dogs are trained by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities. The $3000 for Cas will pay for his training, his equipment, and help support Leash of Hope to keep helping dogs and humans alike. Castiel is an Australian Kelpie rescued from the streets of California as a puppy. Since then he’s gone on to become an exceptional assistance dog and has helped many people, but hadn’t managed to find his perfect match until now. Shantal is Castiel’s last chance before he ages out. Cas and Shantal hope that they’ll be working together for a very long time but they need your help to make that happen. Please donate and help Cas stay in his forever home and take care of his girl, who loves him with all her heart.

Petition: Please help us keeping Manuela and her family off the streets.

By signing this petition you add your name to a list that’ll be send to the first mayor of Stuttgart, Germany. We don’t need any money - just your name in support of a very unlucky family.

Manuela has cancer as well as multiple sclerosis, sits in a wheelchair and is dependant on daily nursing services. Her 26-year-old son is mentally ill, her 24-year-old daughter is working as a trainee while raising her 5-year-old daughter. All of them are going to lose their home on August the 1st because of an eviction notice. With nowhere else to go the mortally ill woman, her two children and her 5-year old granddaughter will have to live on the streets. However, the company responsible for the eviction is a company owned by the city, and the first mayor is the chairman of its supervisory board. The goal of this petition is to get at least 100 names to convince the mayor with to stop the eviction until the family has found a new appartment - which isn’t easy since there are not many cheap appartments that are accesible for someone in a wheelchair. The current appartement’s rent is payed by welfare aid as well as the next appartement will be, so it’s not a money issue.

Manuela and her family are family friends and I would be grateful for any support they can get - but there are only a few days left..

UPDATE: my mom have something in her belly which requires exams. for free, will take more than a year, with luck! the doctor two exams BEFORE medicate my mom, so she is going worse, on pain bc of her trigeminal neuralgia and her emphysema, all the time lying in her bed, depending on me for everything. the X’s will be the photos of the requirements for the exams. for the endoscopy X and the blood test with three pages (yes, three) X X X. ok, two exams. the hospital doesn’t even making BLOOD FUCKING TESTS! i already have money for the blood test, but the doctor said that the two exams needs to be done in the same week. costs around R$200,00/300,00. in US DOLLAR is around $ 95/100, in euro is around  €90. my light bill is already in delay since 27/05 and they cut down the power in 12 days. besides the meds for her trigeminal neuralgia and food. is everything explained here, i am TRULY needing help and i simply don’t know what else i can do. i have NOTHING that i could be able to sell in my house. my computer is old, like 6 years old and my cellphone like 3 years old. i am completely desperate seeing my mother in pain unable to do anything. please, help us if you can.

She’s a bright shining star of this fandom who has fallen on some seriously tough times.
