❛ Regardless, It’s probably best not to complain about this place or who is running it or what was taken. I imagine whoever did it can hear us, see us, they know. So I wouldn’t bad mouth em. Just my two cents on this whole situation. ❜
❛Maybe I shouldn’t be so judgmental but you robots are truly, uh. Stupid. Well, maybe not all of you, but a majority of you are going on about some real dumb shit right now. Maybe when you joined this place they took your brain cell, Aha, get it~ ❜ Shut up Eric.
❛ For real though, This place is clearly not run by humans, as a totally normal human that has spent this life around non-humans, whoever brought us here ain’t human and they aren’t as stupid as you are making em out to be, watch out or you may anger them. ❜
abductedgenius replied to your post: ❛ Some of you are really making me lose brain...
Slides him a shot glass of fruit juice.
❛ Is this ... apple juice? Well, We aren’t legal, so I suppose that’s better than nothing ❜
❛ Some of you are really making me lose brain cells... ❜

Hah….so the stranger really assumed he was tone-deaf to it? If that made him happy, whatever - but he couldn’t be more wrong. As a psychologist and tender heart, seeing so many seemingly numb to all this? It upset him too: but he was mature, and a psychologist was also expected to hold up a certain level of calmness under pressure. Jokes on HIM, he’d NEVER been secure and oblivious in his life! “How could I possibly sleep well with everything that’s happened?” His tone was tired, but perhaps let slip a little of his sadness more than he might know. “I admit you are right in that at least, but it does provide some sort of possiblity as to ‘why’ people are reacting this way. I can’t say my reasoning is the all-most-powerful one that explains why, I can’t read everything in a person’s mind: but can you say you are able to do that either?” He was too tired even to argue with the stranger much, but when it came to ‘failing’, he gave a shake of the head. “….I’ve already failed them as it is. When the waters first closed up, everyone was stuck down there - it was only dumb luck that saved me, and none of my powers would help them. After all, my sleep dust affects EVERYONE involved, and with their time underwater being finite…it wouldn’t have helped their low time they didn’t have. I had to stand there on the water’s edge, knowing I could do nothing to help, and then….then they all…I couldn’t do anything for them at all! It haunts me even now, so the only thing I can e-even try to do is try to offer my services, I don’t have TIME for sleep when, as you said, we’re ‘failing’ everyone enough!” Despite Sylvie’s best efforts, clearly, to stay strong for everyone else, it wasn’t working in the face of such words, his body starting to shake and his glasses fogging up with evident tears.
❛ Come now, stranger. Wasn’t it just you who said you would be crying in the privacy of your own home ? ❜ He could be a “bully” at times, but he liked to show people their own hypocrisy in situations like this, where they were beating themselves up while trying to lift up others. Eric pitied this person and their ideals being so turned on their head that they can’t even take care of their own well being because they were drowning in guilt for people that they didn’t even know. While Eric did care too, he didn’t know them so allowing himself to drown in the thought of “I could have helped them” wasn’t right. People still escaped, people still survived, even if some died, he won’t discount the ones that lived.
❛ Really though, If you seem to be priding yourself so deeply and highly on the fact you want to help others, then help yourself. I said we are failing, not that you failed. The city as a whole is clearly a test, not a trap, we are subjects of some sort of experiment or game or something, one side wants to test our bonds and see how strong we are ... the other, i’m not sure about yet. ❜
█ ▌The project was still a mystery in his mind. While he recalls they are about love and bonds too, it seems that both of these places had their own ways to test the people of Koi. Eric is curious about what went on down there, regardless. People died but people lived, monsters were down there but clearly something was curious enough that sent people down there. Answers, maybe ... or perhaps they were tricked.
❛ Now you are just beating yourself up, drowning in your own guilt and self pity, huh? Are you really just gonna let yourself slide down that slope of depression when people still lived? I’m just as upset and concerned about the people who died or may still be trapped down there, But we can’t discount the ones who survived, which you seem to be doing with these posters of yours, right ? So stop being guilty, if you want to help. Help yourself first ❜
sheeporbeef:
Ah - on placing another poster up to express that visiting his ‘therapy’ is alright for anyone involved, he couldn’t help but overhear, and looks a little sad, sighing. “The thought of so many innocents dying as they did really is awful, but I am a psychologist first and foremost: if I show myself falling apart on the streets when I’m trying to offer therapeutic help to those that managed to escape, that wouldn’t help them. Any grieving I am doing is in private, and it could be likely that others are doing the same to not give the group that killed so many the ‘satisfaction’ of seeing them fall apart, given that was clearly what they were after in the first place, listening to Belladonna’s answers…” It’s evident from the dark circles under Sylvester’s eyes he hasn’t gotten a lot of sleep lately due to being upset in private, so he was clearly being honest. “That and the first stage of grief is denial, it is highly likely those that saw this are all expressing this first stage, right? Either way, assuming seems a little quick on the draw…”
❛ You ... You are joking, right? Holy shit, you are pretty tone-deaf to this whole thing, aren’t ya? Looks like you haven’t slept in days either. You aren’t gonna be a good help if you can’t even show your feelings let alone take care of yourself and sleep ❜
█ ▌Harsh ? Most certainly, but he wasn’t one to beat around the bush. Maybe it’s purely because he hasn’t been here as long but he is sure he knows what’s going on with just a simple glance at both of these places and the answers the Belle has offered, even vague. He was a bit frustrated but he can’t go snapping at some stranger on the street. Okay, let’s see if he can explain this to this person, without putting my weight on them.
❛ This ain’t about the cycle of grief, not to mention a lot of people don’t go through it the same way. Rarely do people experience denial for a long time either, it goes denial instantly to anger or depression. Regardless, this group wants to test our bonds with one another, as the belle said. If we are loitering around, numb and mindlessly we are just showing that they were right, we don’t give two shits about each-other. ❜ He brings a hand up to run through his own hair
❛ Look, my point here is. Hiding your feelings and crying in private ain’t gonna prove anything, I bet these people can see what we do in private anyways, Get angry, cry out loud, demand answers. Just don’t fucking hurt anyone, Clearly, this other organization wants to test us and at this point, I’d say we are failing. ❜
❛ You know, I would have expected more people to panic, cry, scream, curse this world... Something like that when they found out hundreds of their friends died, but everyone seems pretty chill about it, Ya’ll okay? You just refuse to get close to people or something or are you all just that numb to death you don’t care that a lot of your friends just drowned painfully and probably became Levithan food? ❜
█ ▌He’s not gonna hold back, thankfully for him, however, no one he knows or cares about was down there, then again he did just arrive so he didn’t have time to care yet. Still, pretty fucked up that so many people died and no one is talking about it, at least in his mind. Everyone seems far more caught up with themselves than with others.

Just as quickly as his friends were to leave him, he was just as quick to get a new partner. Such is the way of this world and as much as he hated it, there was nothing he could do about it. His mind thinks back over to the letters, hand twitching as he continued to write down music scores. It was hard for him to keep his focus but he kept writing, he kept his inspiration going.
He was by no means bitter or mean towards his roommate when he first got to see him, he was his usual self, someone who was eccentric and loud, not exactly on the ground all the time. But there were times where Leo very obviously looked to one of the spare rooms longingly, making it very clear he didn’t want his new roommate going near it. He just missed his old roomies that much.
Leo’s hand started to slow down now, something was pressed onto his cheek and he stopped writing entirely. Blinking slowly, his body acts like a normal human’s again, thin hand reaching for the sticky note and reading it to himself. “Dinner is done..? Who made me..?–Ah.” Turning his head, he looks to Eric. What was his name? Who was he again? All he could really remember was that he was his roommate.
“Eh?– You made dinner for me? You really didn’t have to– but gimme a sec and I’ll join you, I just need to put these papers together.” Unlike other times, he does seem satisfied with this arrangement. Leo collects the mess of sheets, not seeming to care for the order they were in and stacking them up onto a desk beside his bed. His eyes move over towards his bed, looking at his laptop and the other things that adorned it, like some plushes. Shaking his head, Leo turns his attention back towards Eric.
“What did you make for dinner?~” There’s an attempt to be perky, but he still sounds rather out of it. Is it because of his thoughts or because he was still working his way out of his inspiration mode? Who knows. “I haven’t had many people cook for me, so I’m sure it’ll be nice. Wahaha~”
█ ▌There were a lot of things that amused him about Leo here, but he was equal parts amused and worried, though it’s not his place to dote and lecture a total stranger. While he could easily see through him, he isn’t sure if Leo is totally aware of that. Maybe he wasn’t obvious to other people but when Eric has dealt with his own problems and at least 4 other people's problems he starts to pick up on the signs. Regardless, He’ll just try to ease Leo through it rather than ask. If Leo wants to tell him ... Well, he’ll make it known somehow, even if he doesn’t say it outright. There were more pressing matters right now, Like dinner. They both were... uh, Not exactly the best at maintaining a proper sleep schedule or eating habits so Eric was gonna make sure Leo ate whenever he can since he seemed to be in a bit poorer health then himself. Okay, maybe this was his own form of doting over the older boy.
❛ It’s not anything fancy. Honestly, if I didn’t have a roommate I’d probably be like those college students that live off of nothing but instant ramen, though I like the little mac and cheese containers better. ❜
█ ▌Though the other had sorted out his papers and was now following him out of his own room. Well, he seems somewhat perky. Can’t be sure but Eric will let it slide, he’s trying certainly.
❛ You should make me a list of things you like, or if you are allergic to anything, last thing I want is to accidentally kill you ❜ Was that a joke ? Kinda hard to tell ❛ But I just made some pasta ... My mom did it sometimes and taught me, hopefully I didn’t screw it up, that’d really suck. ❜
█ ▌Honestly, even if he did screw it up somehow he’d still end up eating it since he didn’t like wasting food, but it looked good and it smelt good so both of those were good signs. he had already set up plates for the both of them on the counter too. He didn’t expect Leo to sit down at the table like some family would and eat, Rather just come out and get his food and then go on his merry way if he so chooses.
❛ I don’t mind cooking, So if you don’t mind my cooking I can do most of it ❜

█ ▌Being teleported against your will to another world without reason or warning aside, Eric wasn’t too uncomfortable or upset. He’s used to weird scenarios. His mother was an angel, his uncle and aunts demons. He was friends with star children and knew kitsunes and nekomatas. Being sent to another world, while annoying, wasn’t something he couldn’t handle. Even if he was simply a normal human he adjusted easily, he was flexible. Roommate situation, however ... Well, Leo was honestly fine. He never had a roommate though, even when he went to College for a bit before going back to high school he wasn’t given a roommate since he was younger then everyone else and the College didn’t want a 15 year old with adults, The price you pay for being a genius he supposed, He didn’t really like it.
█ ▌He was pretty entertained with Leo though. A genius in his own write, just with music. Eric himself wasn’t that great with music but he could still easily look at or listen to Leo’s music and think it was quite good ! The irony of two geniuses being roomed together was entertaining to Eric, and they were both pretty similar ... Sarcastic and eccentric in their own right, He felt pretty at home in the house with the slightly older boy. Speaking of the older boy, he isn’t sure if he is paying the most attention to him at the moment since he is on one of his “Inspiration” kicks it seems, Which Eric can’t fault him for. Eric gets into similar moods where he’ll simply translate things between different language and try to find the best way to translate hard to understand phrases, or simply find similar phrases between languages. He has a whole blog for this online since it seems some people find it interesting ... He can’t host it very well here anymore, But he is keeping notes regardless.
█ ▌It was dinner time though, Eric had made dinner this night. He was a good cook as he cooked for himself a lot, but when he went to check on Leo he was, in fact, still scribbling about. The number of compositions that had appeared in the short time he was gone to cook was impressive.
❛ It’s been only like 20 minutes, That’s pretty impressive ❜ He crossed his arms over his chest, Unsure if the ginger even paid him any mind whatsoever ❛ While you are in space looking for aliens and compositions I made dinner, ❜ He scribbled his own words down on a sticky note before he went over to Leo, sticking the note directly onto his cheek, hoping that would snap him out of his trance-like state, if not then at least when he is out of it he’ll have the note to tell him dinner is done.
