Wedding Sketches!

So out of complete creative boredom, instead of working on my fanfic, redesigns, or how I'm gonna move into my dorm for junior year, I have instead decided to draw wedding dresses for Juvia and Lucy .

I always imagined Juvia wearing a more timeless wedding dress while Lucy would be a lot more modern. This little challenge also helped me in drawing their respective body types and moving further away from same face syndrome. I always usually draw Juvia a bit more slender and sharp, and I like making Lucy ever so slightly cute and plump.

With Juvia, I was very inspired by 1970's wedding dresses with long thinner sleeves and an empire waistline with plenty of lace. I was also inspired by more fairy tale aesthetics. If I do fully render this illustration, I plan on making her dress a pale silvery blue in color with slight light yellow accents. This is to represent her acceptance of her powers as the Rain Woman and the little bits of sunlight that have ultimately changed the trajectory of her life.

Lucy was obviously a much different matter. My biggest inspirations were 2000s and 2010s wedding gowns. Strapless, big, and very much ruffled. I wanted her dress to be more modern and grounded in reality while still being extravagant enough to be something Lucy would wear. I would make her a dress a light blush color with white accents.

This is a shorter post in comparison to my last one, but this is something I just felt like showing people. I love Lucy and Juvia very much, and I just can't help but always draw them.

I am starting university again very soon. I might not update as much in the coming days. I apologize, but I will come back as soon as I can! I hope everyone likes this posts.
