My Two Cents on the Recently Posted Fan Policy & Guidelines

I discovered this show and made it possible for me to watch this via Internet. Now they’re taking the liberty away to, what, get their money back?

I thought entertainment–especially for the young audience– should at least be free? (This is just me, though.)

But honest-to-goodness, I’ve been a good viewer of shows airing from other countries (cough anime cough) for a very long time now and this is not really something I’m surprised of? (There was even one issue where all anime stream sites were to be shut down because THIS SAME ISSUE ABOUT THE MONEY/PROD but yeah. It didn’t continue–idk maybe it was a hoax. I really don’t remember what happened when it ended. I don’t think I cared enough because all I thought of was: fuck it. Shut them down. Shut our dreams down.) I know how hard this is for the producers of any show in general, to think that maybe they’re losing quite a ton of proceeds because a show airs via stream site/s and they have to do something about it…

But isn’t the same platform they think that is cheating them on their money that gives their shows audience in the first place?

Let’s get real:

How about those people who could only afford to watch Miraculous via Internet? No Miraculous for you until you pay!

But what if they can’t buy the episodes because they don’t really have much money to go by OR that they’re saving up money to more important things AND THIS SHOW was one of their stress relievers from the hectic-ness of the real world? NO MIRACULOUS THERAPY FOR YOU, SON. NOPE.

How about those underaged kids who won’t be allowed by their parent/s to get access to their parents’ credit cards because they’re too young to handle such? What about those kids/teens who have parents who don’t even trust them with money?

No Miraculous episodes for them, too. Oopsies!

Hawkdaddy and the rest of the big bosses, you’re gonna lose a heck ton of audience because of this.

I have a similar problem. I have no chance of watching it. I live in South Africa and we have the show here but only up to episode 6. It’s been like that for three months. No updates I can’t buy the episodes because our iTunes doesn’t have it. I have no way of watching the show now. If I could buy it I would. I make sure to watch the same episodes over and over when it’s on cable to support the show. I was using this show as a way of coping. I’d say that if I died, I couldn’t see the next episode. But I can’t see the episode anyway.

We could have an official YouTube Channel with ads so that the network can monetize it. But I guess that’s too much work.

I would insert a GIF, but maybe they’ll ban that next.

I completely agree. I also want to add something about another point: Them asking us not to draw/write/edit/whatever R-stuff of the show. That was something that I found personally like a slap to the face. Surely, a lot of people watching the show shy away from it anyway. I dunno Americans seem to have a huge problem with the ‘underage’ stuff when in Europe where I am from it’s not a big deal. I’ve been comfortable with my sexuality since I was twelve and having access to stuff like this has actually helped me. I know this might sound strange but at twelve I didn’t know shit about it and getting in contact with the topic through the internet in innocent ways was so important for me and many other people…especially girls who are always told that sex is a big no no and should not be explored things like that help Now, I understand that their audience is supposed to be mostly children but I’m wondering how expecting us to not create R-rated content is in any way fair? We are fans of the show just as much - if not more - than those kids are and I will not stop creating any kind of content. This is my blog and there is a freaking restriction on tumblr so that you won’t see any nasty stuff if you turn it on. R-rated stuff is tagged appropriately in every single fandom I’ve ever been in with ‘nsfw’ and if someone doesn’t understand to avoid that tag then I’m sorry but they shouldn’t be on tumblr in the first place! Why should I censor myself, because a show that I watch and enjoy just as much as the next person wasn’t targeted at me?  That. Is. Censoreship!
