"Elder Gods" are beings created from certain types of human behaviors, emotions or concepts. Not all are evil, but since the collective experience of humanity is marked by sins, negative concepts are often the most powerful for creating Gods...

"The Insatiable"

Dis • Lord of Vice One of the oldest Elders, Dis has suffered a drastic "shift" in the concept he's supposed to represent. He's attracted to cannibals and occultists, often inserting himself in their lives as a friendly (and human) figure before revealing his true identity. Enjoys collecting mortal "familiars". He makes sure to keep them around forever as undead servants. Here's Dis with his newest human familiar, Howard!

"The Primordial Hunger"

Iare • Lord of Gluttony Considered insufferable by most Elders. Unlike the rest of his kin, he doesn't care about gaining followers, being worshipped, or expanding his domain. The only thing that drives Iare is his Hunger — an eternal, all-consuming void that can never be filled. Every now and then he has a "feeding frenzy", during which many species go extinct. Not even Gods are safe from his Hunger. He also can't be forced to wear shoes

"He Who Dyes in Red"

Mnemonis • Lord of Bloodlust A very unusual Elder. After an accident involving a certain someone, Mnemonis was shunned by his kin for being too weak. He found support in human society and has lived a mostly "human" life since then, pleased with being a recluse and satisfying his endless Bloodlust by working as a bounty hunter. His hobbies include crafting improvised weapons and woodcarving. Please, have patience, he's a bit shy!

There are a few others, but I'm probably making a separate post to make things more organized for me... Anyway. Some extras of the three main boys, because I draw them a lot:

Made these after talking with a friend about NINAH ships. Felt the need to make my boys a little more... freaky... y'know... They're elder gods of blood after all!! Anyway, I think I did an ok job design-wise. But man am I shit at making scary art

Sketches from a project of mine! It's basically a society of sorcerers and there's avatars of concepts and governmental conspiracies... just the usual stuff

1st image - fluffy hair is the son of the Avatar of Dreams, glasses is the grandson of the Avatar of Memories 2nd image - the twin Avatars of Death The other images are some of the current avatars. The Death twins, Creation, old man catboy Shadow and momma Dreams

The avatars are based off aspects of human life and inherit great arcane powers:

"Death": Natural cycles, health; the body, physical existence. Powers of necromancy, healing and decay. Represented by black cats, crows and ravens.

"Creation": Reason, creativity; the conscious mind; birth, life-giving. Powers of transmutation. Represented by trees and cows.

"Blood": Emotions, vices, impulses; the social and emotional self. Powers of controling and warping people, mentally and physically. Represented by spiders.

"Dreams": Awareness, senses; the subconscious mind. Powers of clairvoyance. Represented by jellyfishes, squids and octopi.

"Memories": Tradition, remembrance. The avatar's lineage has very, very long lifespans. Represented by the phoenix (or golden pheasants).

"Shadow": Instinct, wandering, curiosity, willpower, motivation — the self that strives to survive. Powers of magical concealment and teleportation. Represented by cats.

Long after joining the coven, Kayn discovered the animus residing within himself. For this, his sisters sentenced him to exile— a mercy seldom afforded to those who deviate from the rules. But Kayn refused to let go of the powers the Old Gods had granted him. He followed the whispers into the ossuary, desecrating the ancient tomb of the Crimson Bull. As he raised the scythe that contained the Old One's essence, he murmured to himself: "Why worship the gods when I can become one?"

Art dump of Andrej and Fischer, my two idiots with PhDs in red flag denial and medical malpractice (respectively)

Also a brief misuse of my formal education I MEAN, explanation of Fischer's first method of "treatment" for his condition:

Fischer has a severe degenerative disease that attacks his vertebrae and the nerves around them. He had this setup to apply a medicine (that he developed!) that slows the progression of the disease and acts as pain relief. Later on he replaced his entire spine with a metallic prosthesis :)
