What is the way to healing? It’s more than just time. Time can leave us brittle and jagged and hardened and toxic. Time is not enough for healing. Time can kill just as it can cure. Healing requires uncomfortable things, like self honesty–looking straight into the pus and gore and cleaning it out. It some times requires brutal amputations. Healing requires gentle treatment and patience. Healing needs acceptance. And it needs time.
