"What a bunch of asses." That presumably including Farlan and himself, since neither of them had checked on her before leaving the dining area either. "Do I need to start sitting next to you every meal to make sure you actually eat it?" As if they don’t already stick together most of the time anyway but he makes sure to give her space, let her socialize with some of the other acquaintances she’s made from time to time without either of them hovering over her.

Oh good, she seems to have perked up some. “If not willingly then I’ll make him. He had his dinner, you didn’t.” Extra food goes to those that need it most first. That’s always been his rule.

Him calling himself an ass did manage to make her smile, despite her grumbling stomach.

"No, no!" she frowns and shakes her head. "'S not like I fall asleep at every meal, anyway. This was a special circumstance." Not that him sitting next to her during meals would be unusual, by any means. But she didn't want him to think it was necessary.

"Thanks big bro." she meant it, too. Not just for saying he would make Farlan give her some bread, but for waking her up too. She probably would have slept there all night, or at least until the dead middle of it.

-- And it was creepy around there at night, so she's extra grateful.
