He wasn’t exactly a very social individual and he really didn’t seem like the strip club type of guy. “Of course I’m careful, do you think I’m stupid or something? But yeah, I let people do it on me because that’s part of my job. I keep my customers happy.”

Allister managed to roll his eyes when Stella realized it was him, feeling the attitude wafting off of her like an obvious odor. Maybe they didn’t end things on the best of terms, but that didn’t mean he didn’t still care about her. “Yeah well, you should at least feel someone out first, make sure they’re not some crazy serial killer before you ask them to do anything to you.” What award winning advice.

Claudia stopped chewing the food in her mouth and swallowed hard, looking up at him. She gave the male a tiny smirk before giving him the middle finger and continued eating like a pig, chuckling to herself as she did. Her and Al picked on each other constantly, but that’s how you knew that they were the best of friends. “Noo…” Claudia smiled, shaking her head softly. “She likes the older type. Scruffy and shit. The beard.” She motioned to his facial hair. “She finds it all hot as fuck.” She told him.

Allister sighed when Claudia continued to go at her food like she hadn’t eaten in weeks, something he was definitely used to by now, and honestly found slightly endearing. He raised a brow when she mentioned his beard, and that Ellie found it hot as fuck, which made his face flush a little red. He didn’t do great with being the center of attention, but he knew this wasn’t a conversation he could avoid. “Okay, so she liked the way I look. But we’re kind of total opposites, which hasn’t worked out great for me in the past. I guess I just keep getting scared that it could go south, and then make things awkward between us...I don’t want that.”

    “there are, aren’t there?” she agreed, obviously thinking it was the best thing ever. ellie snuggled him up while he talked about nashville, looking up at him. she loved to hear about his life before new york, mostly because she loved getting to know him better, on a deeper lever than when they were just friends. “well, you’ve become a really great cook, but you should go out there and find a restaurant or two that you absolutely love and make them your regular spots. that way you don’t have to cook every day.” she replied. still, ellie pulled back a little when he said he wanted to ask her something. “um… sure, shoot.” she hummed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, suddenly a little nervous about it.

Allister finding places in New York he loved to eat, that was a concept. It was honestly something he had always planned on before actually moving here, telling himself that he was gonna break out of his shell and meet tons of new people out at restaurants and bars, all that shit. He kind of did that a little, but not near enough. Maybe Ellie would be the one to get him out of his shell completely. “Well, we’ll have to go try some different spots to eat then.” He smirked, and then scanned her face to try and read her mood before asking what he wanted to ask. “I know we haven’t been goin’ out that long, but I think it’s pretty obvious how we both feel. So, I guess I was just wonderin’ if you’d wanna be my girlfriend?” Al was pretty sure he knew what her answer would be, but that didn’t stop him from feeling nervous as hell anyway.

“Hey, do you want to do a body shot off me?” Stella asked the next person who walked past her. She was currently at work, her shifts during the week always being a little slow. She didn’t even really care how much money she made tonight, considering she made a bulk of her tips during the weekend. The blonde was just….bored at the moment and in need of some new faces and entertainment. Dressed in her little hot pink lingerie set, she fanned her perfectly put on fake eyelashes, hoping they say yes. 

Allister stopped dead in his tracks when he heard a familiar voice, turning slowly with a raised brow to realize it was Stella, his ex, and not only that - but she was half naked and asking him to take a body shot off of her. “I’m gonna assume you didn’t know it was me, and pass...sorry.” He looked at her for a moment before sighing, and looking around. “Please tell me you’re at least being careful and not just asking anyone to use you.”

     ellie chuckled when allister said that he hoped everything went well. “it definitely will, i’m confident.” she told him with a smile, wrapping an arm around him as the two dogs smelled each other, seemingly getting familiar with each other. stevie was as friendly a dog as ellie was a friendly human, so she really was confident in their chances. “yeah, let’s order something in. what are you thinking?” the blonde asked, looking up at him. she really hadn’t been this happy in a long time and that was kind of scary, as she was constantly scared that it would come crashing down. what they had was a good thing, for the first time she didn’t feel any rush to get somewhere in the relationship – she was just happy spending her time with him. “there’s pizza, chinese, burgers… take your pick.” 

“There are too many food options in New York.” Allister complained, as if that was a bad thing. “We had a lot on Nashville, but I was really only in town to work, and I just ate at the bar half the time. “It’s nothing like here though. That’s why I end up just cooking most of the time, so I don’t have to make a decision.” He laughed, and glanced over at Ellie. He was still kind of nervous around her, though he had no reason to be. “Listen um, I was gonna try and like, at least wait until we’ve eaten or whatever, but I kinda wanna just ask ya something.” Okay, that wasn’t weird at all to say.

Mingyu sighed, he looked towards the paparazzi that were still flashing lights in their face. The boy quickly called the manager over who shooed them away before shutting the blinds to prevent them from seeing inside. “All kinds, who knows what the hell they will come up with next.” As they often liked to create stories that were misconstrued. “I’ll make it up to you though, just tell me whatever you’re ordering and I’ll pay for it.” 

Allister wasn’t really concerned with having someone pay for his food, it’s not like he was completely broke, but it seemed to be something that would make the other male feel better about the situation, so he gave in, and told the guy what he’d ordered. He felt bad though, that much was obvious on his face as he ran a hand through his dirty blonde hair with a sigh. “Man, it must suck to have to live this way. Is there anywhere you can go without being recognized?”

“On the contrary…” She waved her finger in the air and chuckled. Claudia could see that little smirk playing on his face like he was trying to hide a smile. The bartender knew that her two best friends would get along well, which was why she’d tried to set them up so long ago. Now that Ellie had broken up with her trash boyfriend, it was time for operation Allie once again. “I think it’s a great idea. You’re her type, ya know?” She winked before picking up her burger a taking a huge bite. She felt a Mayo covered tomato fall onto her lap. She cursed under breath in Spanish before grabbing the tomato and tossing it in her mouth.

Allister of course was distracted by the way Claudia was eating, always making a mess regardless of what she put in her mouth. He chuckled, and then shook his head before saying anything else. “Do you know how to eat without getting it all over yourself first?” He joked, and then cracked his knuckles out of habit. “What’s her type? Quiet and painfully shy?” Allister was still teasing, though he really wasn’t sure why someone as full of life and completely opposite of him would be into someone so timid.

“Hopefully this goes well.” Allister said with a slight tinge of doubt in the tone of his voice as he looked down at Biscuit. He’d brought him over to stay the night with Ellie, seemingly taking the next step in their relationship that wasn’t really a relationship yet. He had a plan for that though. Biscuit was pretty chill, so he should get along with Ellie’s dog well, but he couldn’t help but be paranoid about it anyway. He was paranoid about everything. “So uh...I’m kinda hungry. Should we order in?” Stop acting so nervous, damn! Al knew he was kind of losing his cool, and probably fidgeting, but he hadn’t liked anyone like this in a long time. It was a lot to lose.

Eloise tipped the glass in her hand back, taking in the last few sips of the red wine she had ordered. She tried really hard not to roll her eyes at the very chatty bartender, but he was prying. And she hated prying. She just wanted to sit here and wallow away. No, she didn’t really want to do that, but it felt right in the moment. She set the glass down with a clink and slid it closer to him. “You see, Daddy Dearest wants me to get married. And not because he wants grandchildren or anything. Oh no. He wants a man to run his business, and as his only child, a daughter, I’m not acceptable.” She let out a loud breath, causing some of her hair to fly away from her face. 

Allister really wasn’t a nosey person. In fact, he normally was very quiet, and stayed out of other people’s business until he realized that being a good bartender, and listening to other people’s issues were what was gonna get him good tips. His face fell when the girl admitted what was on her mind, feeling terrible that she was in that situation, though he wasn’t exactly sure what to say. “Well, damn. That’s not good...” He muttered, sitting down a clean glass before starting on another one. “I never get why people are like that. If anything, I think women are more capable of running stuff than men. Men can be...kinda dumb.” He admitted with a light chuckle.

     ellie was sitting in the bar with allister a little before blue opened, hungover and sad. she’d come all the way to blue with her fucked up ankle to talk to her boss and show the doctor’s note she’d gotten exempting her from work for a couple nights, which in hindsight didn’t really seem all that practical but she was there mainly to see her friends anyway. “i mean — where shall i start ?” the blonde said with a chuckle. “i’m hungover and embarrassed, my boyfriend cheated on me, my lease is about to end and my landlord doesn’t want to renew it, and i have a fucked up ankle, so…” she said, pursing her lips and then she giggled – her life was suddenly in such shambles ellie could only laugh because of how absurd it all was. “everything’s just a big old mess,” she admitted with a sigh. “and that’s probably a lot more than you wanted to hear, but hey… you asked.” she teased with a laugh and a smirk, happy to spend some unexpected time with him.

Allister immediately regretting asking Ellie what was wrong when she started on the facts, feeling terrible that there really wasn’t much he could do to fix it, though if he was gonna do anything to fix it, now would be the time. It’s not like he hadn’t fantasized about how he could woo her or whatever over the time they’d known each other. She’s always just been too far out of reach, taken, or some other reason he couldn’t ask her out. The last thing he wanted to be though was tacky, and swoop in when she was feeling vulnerable. “I’m sorry Ellie...I wanna knock that guy in the head, seriously.” He looked at her with a solemn expression, though he knew the threat probably wasn’t gonna make her feel any better. “As far as your lease goes...I could try and talk to your landlord for ya? Usually I’m pretty good with stuff like that. Or, there’s an apartment open where Claudia and I live?”

“More like my parents are a big deal. I’m kind of just the off spring that got thrown into the limelight.” Although he had made a bit of a name of his own accord, most people knew him from them. “I mean I’ve been a backup dancer for a lot of big names in the industry so that also I think brought about a wider spread of fans.” Sighing once more, he glanced down at the table. “I like dancing, more than anything. I just hate the paparazzi, you know? I’m already in the studio all day, the last thing I want to do is go out and meet up with these idiots.”  Glancing at the menu, he looked up at Allister a moment later. “I insist, you don’t owe me anything. It’s merely for this stupid inconvenience and the rumors that may start.”

Allister watched the other as he talked, realizing quickly why he hadn’t seen, or heard of him before. Allister did good enough to keep up with his own life, he definitely didn’t know anything about backup dancers. He felt bad for the guy though, having to run from paps, but then his face twisted in confusion. “Rumors? What kinda rumors?” Oh god, did they look like they were on a date? He started looking around the room now, noting the people who were staring, probably wondering who the hell he was, and why he was having lunch with the dancer.
