COLLIN GRAF APPRECIATION POST.

He doesn’t get talked about as much as he should!!!! He’s genuinely so impressive to me like he’s someone who doesn’t come from a hockey family, someone who randomly decided he wanted to play hockey, someone who put his determination to it and worked 2 years to get to a point where he’s eligible to play it, someone who continued that work even when everyone told him he couldn’t get drafted, someone who led his team to an NCAA championship and got offers from multiple NHL teams for it, someone who was nominated for the Hobey Baker award twice, someone who never played a defensive role in college but became one of the (if not the top) Sharks’ best defensive offense players and the PK demon just by working towards it, and someone who has such a passion and determination for hockey that it inspired his younger brother to try following in his footsteps. He’s so so so smart and quick and fun to watch, I am actually in awe when I watch him on the ice. He does so much more than kill penalties like he’s actually so useful to the team and his hockey IQ is genuinely insane. AND MACK EVEN SAID IT’S SO NICE TO PLAY SOMEONE WHO SEES THE GAME AS HE DOES INSERT CLIP HERE

Like correct me if I’m wrong but Mack doesn’t just say stuff like that😭😭 Obviously he says nice things about everyone but I haven’t seen him say THAT specifically. For him to highlight that in how Graf plays is so important and says so much about Graf as a player. He’s just so influential to the team and he pulls through when our actual defense can’t produce, and at the same time also when our offense isn’t producing either. It would be so nice to see him rewarded for his hard work more often. In the long run he’s going to be one of the team’s top players (already is) so please give him the experience he deserves to develop. He’s already doing SO WELL imagine him improving EVEN MORE. It’s only his first full year in the NHL. He’s just barely begun and he’s already so impressive, imagine how far he’s going to from here I actually get emotional about it.

And I need to mention his consistency, even when the things are going bad for the team as a whole. That’s something Warso has even shined light on and actually I’m adding some Warso quotes of him talking about Graf because. yes.

Also aside from being so amazing on the ice he’s such a sweetie humble pie chill laid back lovely dude 💔💔💔💔💔☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ I wish we could learn more about him I wanna know everything 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
