many many many years ago my stage name ended with Peligro and I have missed it ever since, and like, if you’ve missed something like that for five or six solid years while trying other things in its place, you probably just really like it.

and i have finally accepted the fact that my parents saddled me with a stylish and memorable first name at birth, because each time I try to go by something else and then people find out everyone gets all BUT WHY WOULDN’T YOU JUST USE THE NAME SABINA???

because no one ever spells it right, but okay, I mean, it is pretty so we’re running with it finally.

in all my dad’s books of jewish folk tales, it was always established that angels could only be given one task to complete at a time. you have two tasks, you send two angels, no getting around it. this being the case, i have concluded that my current inability to organize myself into doing more than one thing at a time, or even in succession really, indicates that i have become an angel. or maybe i was an angel all along. havent decided. anyway, those same books also said that angels only have one foot, so i gotta set about figuring out which of my legs is the false one. wish me luck.

Rolling is MAD tiring and everyone ends up super sweaty and that’s why everyone hates that one guy that doesn’t wash his gi between classes. And there’s always one. Every class has that one guy. But training gi is way better than no gi, both in terms of teaching better technique and not getting directly covered in random dude sweat. Though I would train no gi with Keanu, obviously. Who wouldn’t.

But in all seriousness, BJJ is super fun. :) And I’m so stoked about the possibility of even more grapply fight choreography in the rest of the franchise.

oh my god YES YES YES, you know that New York has the funds and the inclination to do this. He could totally throw his own weird giftbag parties, but instead he crashes other people’s parties and just swans in like hey! Long time no see, brother! Glad you could make it! Have this bag!

And he’s so friendly no one comments on how they have no idea who he is and then inside the bag is like, a flavor condom variety pack, a copy of War and Peace, five sticks of different types of gum, and, I dunno, and a small plastic swordfish and a tiny trombone. Sometimes Leander goes along to mitigate the damage and sometimes they drink together the night before and Leander’s like, fuck it, ff--you know what people need? A directory of community resources that exist to help disadvantaged youth. We should print pamphlets. But also like, inflatable palm trees. Where can we get a hundred inflatable palm trees at this hour?
