There should be a default brush in procreate called “Blotchy” that I basically exclusively use. It builds up like watercolors which I like and it has a really great texture to it! Try playing with the opacity levels to get subtle hints of color buildup as well as under paint your subjects.

For pens, these are all my favorites in my rotationnn. I like a pretty dry tombow pen too cause you can get these really nice dry brush washes 😁 also I think that green frog pen is a 0.5 mm ball point pen it’s really great for sketching. Lmk if you wanna know more stuff
