me, who hates making posts like this:

so, long story short, as many of you know by now, I was in a relationship ship with my now ex husband for 9 years, for 6 of those years, I have been supporting us financially. We live severely pay check to pay check, have two elderly cats, and I decided it was in my best interest that I cannot do that anymore. So I left him.

Until he’s able to find somewhere to go, I still have to pay for everything, and I’m currently behind on two bills that total up to $158.

I am very torn up about this situation even though it was my choice. I would like to *maybe* try and save up about $200 so I can pay those off and also … I don’t know. Get myself something nice, as selfish as that sounds. I’m really going through it.

I personally HC that it's when Yamamoto had to officially give up baseball (for mafia reasons) is when Squaletta would've started paying more attention to him to begin liking him romantically. It's when you see him truly put his all into swordsmanship that you get to see how he is when he puts all of his effort into something.

Yes, it's said when he trained with Squaletta before in the TYL arc that he put all his energy and effort into the sword, but he said it then: when it's done, I'm going back to baseball. That's not something to forget, so I feel like it was only until he officially went 100% into the sword is when she really started paying attention to the heart and soul he put into it. That's the vibe that I get, and I could be wrong, but I feel like timing-wise it would make sense since he'd be an adult by then.

She has definitely met his father and they get along, and Tsuyoshi can trust Yamamoto in her care, because it's pretty evident from the start that she was the more skilled swordsperson. Yamamoto just has to keep training over the years before that can balance out some more.

[Friendship HC]

Something tells me that it took time for them to really get used to and accept eachother's 'friends'. Squaletta still kinda looked at the Vongola brats with a side stare, but later comes to really accept them for their skill and power. Yamamoto took time to accept Xanxus after seeing the way he treated the other Varia officers in the Varia Ring arc, and how he treats Squaletta. That really made a big impression on him and he really disliked him for a very long time. He just always kept quiet because he knows Xanxus is someone important to her.

[Enemy HC]

When they were 'enemies' so to speak during the Varia Rings arc, Squaletta probably looked down on him a lot and didn't care for him, but Yamamoto just looked at her like an opponent to overcome. He didn't have hatred or anything in him at the time. Just a desire to beat for the sake of not only himself, but his friends.

[Soulmate HC]

If they were soulmates in any fashion, I think it would be in the way that they're both very passionate about things. Her with the way of the sword and him with both baseball and the sword. Eventually, he did have to give up baseball for mafia reasons, and you really get to see how they're more like-minded in that way.

I could be wrong, but I get the feeling if they either visit and are a guest at eachother's place, they just feel uneasy doing nothing, so they do probably try to be helpful in some ways. Like, i'll help set the table, or let me help with getting some things ready for dinner. I'll tidy up this room a little bit. Neither of them strike me as people who feel comfortable staying still for very long.

What this translates to is, because they eventually become so at ease in knowing where everything is, it just becomes their second home so naturally even before they'd start dating.

He sometimes thinks about what kind of nickname to give her, but he just prefers to call people by their given name. Nicknames are indeed a show of familiarity or closeness, but sometimes it just feels nice to use someone's given name. If he's to give her a nickname, it would come after they officially became a couple, because he wants to be the only one to use the nickname. He would want it to be his sole right, and that's why he prefers to not use a nickname with her for now.

Yes, his determination and passion impressed her. In a way, she got used to him. She is usually distant, but certain types of people with the right kind of fire and passion can get under her skin. That's also why she hated the thought of him giving up swordsmanship. But one of my secret headcanons is that even if he had chosen baseball and tried to become the best in that for her incomprehensible sport, she would have been at every game. He wouldn't have seen her, but she would be there, watching. Maybe he would only find out years later that she used to go to his games.

Despite his Casanova kinda ways, Dino is actually quite serious when it comes to relationships. He may flirt and things with people, but it never crosses a certain threshold. It's just easier to deal with people if they don't think to see past his Casanova ways.

When he truly does care for someone, he's a lot more honest and upfront about it. Sure, flirting can still be there as a way to tease, but he's very upfront about his feelings if he wants to announce it. Not sure if she's notice this fact early on or not, but kekek

If they ever do become and official couple, I do think that Dino would at one point bring her to a school for a random tour and point through a window and introduce his mom who had split from his father because she couldn't handle the mafia life. So she was given an out. They may have parted ways, but they still care for each other. she's the biggest factor as to why the Cavallone famiglia is so strict on public safety of the civilians. His mother is one and he'd be damned if anyone hurts her.

It's very rare that he does this, but it's just a small thing that he does to check in on her, and she gets to see that he's still well because they don't have any direct correspondence. Maybe, if she's lucky, she'd look over at the right time to see Squaletta. She'd be smart enough to understand why Dino would bring someone over to see her from afar.

I like to think that they had a chaotic kind of friendship during their school years. He was a bit of a mess and she'd tease him for that, much to his chagrin. She never went too far as she did have some respect for an upcoming mafia boss by blood, but it's too easy to mess with clumsiness incarnate.

[Enemy HC]

Even if they ever had to stand on opposite sides to fight eachother, there seems to be a bit of hesitation that you see in canon. Not that they really hesitate to fight, but that they both acknowledge the skills of the other and know that it won't be a simple fight. You really have to have to resolve to want to fight this battle in seriousness, and that would mean possibly really harming someone you cared for in your past. If there was a way to get out of it, they would, but if their pride was on the line? They'd act without mercy as a sign of respect. That's how I see it.

[Soulmate HC]

He doesn't believe in soulmates because his mother thought that his father was that for her, but it turned out he was mafia and she just couldn't acclimate or accept it. Neither parent ever fell in love with anyone else, so neither remarried. It feels like they were meant for each other as they could never find anyone else... and yet... they couldn't be together. If so, soulmates do not necessitate a happy ending, and he'd rather not see it that way.

He prefers to view it as a journey to traverse alongside another person who shares your ideals. You fight life together and see things to the end.

I laugh at the idea that if they were living together for a mission or what, you'd really see that he could make for a good house husband. His mother made sure that he'd be able to fend for himself before sending him off to the mafia. He can cook and clean for himself, though it takes him a bit more time with how clumsy he can be.

Discussed the one time that he probably has a stable somewhere to ride horses and it's a great way for him to destress the mind. I do think that he's been looking around for a horse to give to Squaletta specifically. For now, she just rides whatever is available because he's been taking in horses that have been rescued, are retired race horses, etc. He just likes horses. Some of them were also inherited from his father as it was something he and the ex-wife used to love.

They both have troubled history when it comes to family, so I think both of them don't have very good opinions on things like family. They probably wouldn't regard the Varia members as found family or anything like that. They just view each other as partners who have been through shit.

Despite everything, Xanxus does somewhat see Squaletta as something like a friend. He more or less does accept the fact as he gets older and his rage does calm down some. Would he ever verbalize that he sees her as something like a friend and not someone that can be tossed aside when she is useless to his plans? Nope.

I suppose you can say that the way they run the Varia can count as domestic. Squaletta is kept busy because of all the work she has to do because he doesn't like being bothered with such boring tasks. The important stuff he'll oversea, but things like reading reports and stuff? All on her. She can summarize everything in a single sentence and report to him. That's enough.

As he gets older and his rage calms some, he does involve himself in more of the logistics and such. I feel like this is what happened and I'd hazard a guess that it was her way of trying to support him when she knew he was going through a lot emotionally and mentally. Being frozen for that many years is no easy feat. Having to acclimate to now being much older... that's not easy. Deep down he's grateful but mostly he thinks that it was her job to support. Entitled prick, yes. lol

I do have a HC about his mom and I think I touched upon it for his bday stuff. I do think at one point he did tell Squaletta about her and that's why he gets quite drunk on the anniversary of her death. He trusts her, so he let her know, but it's also important for her to know so no one fucks around and finds out the fatal way. Keep all the riffraff away or you'll have a bunch of paperwork to fill out.

I get this feeling that they are friends, but both have some hang ups about defining their relationship as such. So, they do view eachother as friends, but won't call it as such, because it just somehow feels so lacking as a word. Their bond is a bit complex for that as they are technically superior and subordinate within Varia ranks, but also have a sisterly kind of bond, and they can feel safe with one another as they've both gone through their own share of traumas. On Haru's end she's just like 'I don't know what relationship I have with the vice-commander, but 'friendship' feels too weak for that.' People can see that their bond is strong, but they just can't see to what extent.

Hm... if their souls were bound in some way, I'd say it was in a kindred-familial kind of way rather than romantic- is the vibe that I'm getting. They really somehow gravitated towards the other and view the other as like a sister and want to support the other in any way that they can. Will be fiercely protective of the other if the situation calls for it, and will try to help the other heal- even if they don't realize they need healing.

Does the fact that sometimes Haru will arrive to help Squaletta clean up when Xanxus gets angry and start throwing things around count? Most of it comes from the fact that Haru can't stand messes, but another part of it is that she just wants to ensure that Squaletta is okay physically or emotionally. In the same vein, I feel like if Squaletta heard that Haru was extra mad or sensitive one day, she'd make it a point to check in on her. Maybe at one point down the line, they try to find a day every month to just relax and enjoy the pleasantries of life. Be away from all the guys who are a pain in the ass. Just relax for a bit.

[My choice of HC]

I do often incorporate my OC (Ravein) into the Varia verse whenever I can, because I just like adding him. The other person who looked after her when she was young, so she sees him as something like an older brother/uncle figure. He's not very good at the emotional stuff, but he's very good at collecting information as the intelligence officer, so I do think that sometimes, he reports to Squaletta on things he's learned about Haru as it's his way of trying to look out for her. If there's someone who can understand Haru, maybe she'd feel less lonely and on edge. He trusts Squaletta because he can see that she does genuinely care for the people around her, despite her grouchy personality at times, kekek.

Okay so 💀 I hate having to do this for such a reason, but im broker then broke ( I get paid Friday. But I have to pay bills and stuff first and I have something coming up that needs to be paid for, so ).
