Do whatever makes you happy, the days aren’t coming back.
more
Stop delaying joy until life looks a certain way. You're allowed to be happy while you're figuring things out.
May you love yourself more than you love the idea of someone else choosing you.
some people really do change the mood of your whole life
If someone told me this, I’d prob cry
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
— Maya Angelou
Science shows that when you fixate on a problem, your brain actually creates more of it. But when you shift your focus to solutions or who you want to become, your mind starts finding paths forward instead
Habits that negatively impact your nervous system
Constant stimulation (phone, noise, multitasking) = Keeps your body in a low grade stress state
Doomscrolling & overconsuming information= Trains your brain to expect chaos and urgency
Irregular sleep schedule= Disrupts your circadian rhythm and hormone balance
Caffeine on an empty stomach= Spikes cortisol and increases anxiety
Suppressing emotions= Stores stress in the body instead of releasing it
Overcommitting & people pleasing= Signals to your body that you’re never safe to rest
Lack of sunlight & nature= Dysregulates your internal clock and mood
High intensity workouts every day= Keeps your nervous system in fight or flight
Negative self talk= Your brain doesn’t know the difference between thought and reality
Eating in a rush or stressed= Impacts digestion and signals danger to the body
Not taking breaks / constant productivity= Prevents your system from ever down regulating
Unresolved stress & chronic overthinking= Keeps your body stuck in survival
Don’t forget to imagine the best case scenario too
I’m becoming someone who doesn’t abandon herself to keep connection
