Rick promoting a vegetarian restaurant in Sheffield
A beautiful letter from Rick to a fan, which reads:
Everyone encounters obstacles in their lives, some greater than others. Just believe in yourself and don’t let anyone convince you that you can’t do something. I hope that my playing music helps you believe that everything is possible…Take it from me-I know!
All the best, Rick Allen
A fax from Joe to Rick which reads:

Yes we got your fax but couldn’t reply because your fax I.D. says 129219 still and I didn’t think you lived there anymore. But I’ve got it no (sic) so there! Change your I.D. man. xxx
A poem Rick wrote shortly after his accident, which reads:
I erase old negative thought patterns and replace them with positive new ones
I have all the creative energy and knowledge I need
I attract loving relationships around me
I have perfect health in all ways
I create understanding and love always around me
Don’t choke on the smoke
Believe and you will see
Well packed woman
I’ve been livin’ to say
A couple of personal mantras written by Rick, which read:
I handle all my experiences with wisdom, with joy, with love and with ease. We have all proved that different races can be productive no matter what country or continent or plant in Miriam’s case. We come from…
I want us all to take a moment and send out all the good feelings and love that we are so privileged to feel as an example to all the people of the world despite race, colour, political, or religious beliefs and hope for a peaceful, joyous, and productive forever. All is well in our wonderful, wonderful world.
A letter from Rick while he was on vacation, which reads:
the full clear blue sea/goats and lizards and tropical birds seem to be most plentiful. I think I got good pics of a hummingbird that was sipping nectar from the flowers outside our back door but they are so small that it’s quite hard to be David Bailey/it’s fucking hot.
