Imagine a Golden Lovers AU crossover with more or less a God of War-esque story, and everyone from the lore can be incorporated as demigods and super-human champions, all out to achieve full godhood and glory. Kenny’s young, blond, and cocky, feeling stuck and unmatched. And then he hears about some living legend who sounds just about crazy as him, and seems to be only other being(?) than him that’s trying to feel the euphoria of being alive through the fighting. But what Kenny knows, is that when he fights he is their champion. There is faith and worship there, and he earns that strength in the same way he earned his recognition as a child of Apollo (GoW get into itttttt) by demanding it through his feats. Ibushi, however… he’s stumped. What he had struggled to attain with divinity, Ibushi had attained as if by nature. Kenny had led chariots to glorious battle, bronze shields glaring gold in his presence. Ibushi had stopped for a meal at a small merchant city, and ended up defeating a demon (that was best relayed back to him as their version of a cyclops) because the portion size of the rice was way too small due to the creature hoarding the grains. The people took the abundance, served him dinner which included 5 bowls of rice, and wrapped up a package with rice balls for the road. Kenny has been a god killer. And so has Ibushi.

So he fucks off from the pantheon, he’s OP and no one could rlly stop him anyways, and travels the seas/skies to see what he’s made of. And then it’s the beer garden fight, combined with GoW Ragnarok scene where Thor drops in to fight Kratos, COMBINED with a Princess Mononoke setting.

And then everything is pretty much parallel, they’re iconic demigod lovers w a break up, they’re championing opposite sides, Kenny goes “the Cleaner” mode, they clash, they reunite on the battlefield and hug. Y’know

I was disgusted and appalled to learn this week that there are some (so called) HR fans that have been attacking and bullying Francois Arnaud over his rumoured relationship with Connor Storrie. I suppose on the one hand I’m a little heartened that these lunatic fucking arseholes don’t fall into any of the fandom circles I tend to occupy which is why I’m a little slow to this party. But oh my fucking god - how can you cunts call yourselves fans if this is what you do? Hudson and Connor are actors and friends. This delulu fucking fantasy you’ve cooked up that you can somehow get them together in real life is WILD. They played their roles on the show. They are different fucking people in real life.

This man, Francois Arnaud, is a national fucking treasure and it makes me want to throat punch those little bitches who’ve taken upon themselves to tell him he’s got no business spending time with Connor Storrie. These people aren’t your Barbies, you fucking sickos. Falling into the historical hetalia fandom and coming out changed irrecoverably is a canon event

Drawing explanations ⬇️ Rastatt: Not much to say, I think it's pretty clear South Italy and Spain have a close relationship in canon.

Ghent: hc that it's difficult for Canada and America to HATE each other. Yes, they get irritated and angry, but due to being isolated together, growing up side by side, and experiencing conflicts all the time because of forced proximity, they decided to separate their personal and professional lives. Thus, it was hard for Alfred and Matthew to fight each other during the War of 1812 (they still did, because at the end of the day their nations will always be the priority). When the war ended, they couldn't be more relieved.

Ausgleich: Austria and Hungary married in canon, so...

Customs: idk about Leich and Swiss's backstory in canon, but I like their characters and did light research into their history. Apparently, this treaty was very important in developing their economic and diplomatic ties.

V-E Day: hc that while England and France used to hate one another (they always fought throughout history), but by 1900s, they were so used to the other's presence (they'd never admit it then) that they couldn't imagine life without them. Since they were SO close to being defeated during WW2, at the end I imagine all the "pretending to despise you" shit flew out the window, and they were just so glad the other was alive and kicking.

Mauerfall: Also very canon. In the manga, Ludwig was a bit ashamed of himself for being put together, while Gilbert was more poor during their reunion. Also, Prussia got punished for WW2 heavily despite Germany playing a larger role in the conflict, so Ludwig prob feels guilty about that. And ofc, hc that Ludwig was worried at how USSR/Russia treated Gil, so he's currently breaking down :)
