”That’s like the complete opposite from me, I don’t work so much during school because I wanna focus on my studies but during summer, my work picks up and I don’t get a day off. I haven’t had a summer since high school. I need a boyfriend to convince me to have time off.”

Chance just laughed. “I’m working and catching up on school so nothing fun really. You should go on a trip or something.”
“That is usually what I do. So this year, I’m taking a break.” She mentioned, “I think I might.”
“Ahh, fine. Just as long as you don’t blindfold me,” Luke joked, walking close to Cheyenne and linked arms with her.
“But blindfolds are so much fun.” She teased, “But don’t worry, zero blindfolds.”
“One word, and one word only: Beach,” Joey laughed lightly. “What do you usually do?”
“Usually I work all summer. All of it. An sometimes I take summer classes.”
“good, and then you guys can go on a really cute date. watch finding dory, eat movie snacks, be all coupley and cute. and then do whatever couples do after.”
“I am going to try and talk him into it. I love him so much and that would be so much fun.”
“Well I’m working this entire summer…Thanks for reminding me of that.”

Luke finally began to smile, because how could he not when Cheyenne was around? “You’re the best, Chey. The actual best,” he said emotionally, hugging her tightly. “So where are we going?”
Cheyenne grinned at him when she saw him smile, “I’m glad to hear that.” She said happily, “Well, I can’t tell you. That would ruin the birthday surprise illusion. Come along.”
“So tell me, what are you doing for fun this summer? I’m trying to do something different. I never get a break and I have the whole summer off.”
“It’s my birthday tomorrow, my boyfriend is gone, and my parents are thousands of miles away… I honestly thought my 18th would be better than this.”
“And it will be better than this. It’ll be great. I’m telling you it will.” She promised and got up, “And your birthday starts now. Come on.”
