GARLIC BUTTER NAAN
Here is a recipe to make garlic butter naan at home:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the active dry yeast, plain yogurt, and warm milk. Mix well and let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead until you have a smooth dough.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
After the dough has rested, punch it down and knead it again for a few minutes.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each one out into a circle or oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, chopped coriander, and melted butter.
Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Brush each naan with the garlic butter mixture and place it on the hot skillet or griddle.
Cook the naan for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until it puffs up and has brown spots.
Brush each naan with more melted butter and serve hot.
Enjoy your delicious garlic butter naan with your favorite curry or chutney!
